What to expect
Tea is more than a type of beverage produced by pouring freshly boiled water over tea leaves. We only spend a few seconds drinking a cup of tea, but it takes a long period for tea trees to fully grow. Moreover, the tea artisans have to carefully observe and control the tea growing process so that high-quality tea leaves could be produced and become the spirit of teacups. In this experience, after Tea Master explains to you the philosophy of tea and its beauty, you will taste 1-2 types of tea, which is either 800 years old or have been covered in lotus since they were harvested.
When it comes to Vietnamese coffee, most foreigners find it so bold and unique that they hardly forget how it tastes. In the coffee session, apart from tasting different kinds of Vietnamese coffee at a little concern in the heart of Saigon, you also learn how to make a cup of coffee properly with a phin filter. Leaving the hubbub of city life and engulfing yourselves in the fragrant scent of coffee will help you blow off some steam and lift you up
Besides the two classes, we lead you through small alleys in Saigon where you will see rows and rows of food vendors parallel to each other. That is the place where many people sit on small chairs and enjoy their cups of coffee every morning, which is also a special part of Vietnamese lifestyle

Reviews
I really enjoyed the tour and its very educational from the traditional coffee making to the modern one. Also, the tea class it was very insightful. I learned a lot on how to make tea and what regions in vietnam they were harvested.
5 star rating for this superb tour. Immerse yourself in Vietnam coffee and tea culture. Our guides Tam, An, Khanh are fun and knowledgeable. They are warm and accomodating. The vegetarian dishes are super flavorful, the coffeemaster and tea master explained and allowed us to experience tea and coffee uniquely. Highly recommend this:)
Very nice and enjoyable tour, especially for coffee and tea lovers! Eat breakfast before the tour so you won’t get tired, because you’ll be tasting some very good but very strong coffee and tea. Our tour guides An and Cathy were very passionate and eager to help as much as they can and we learned a lot. They even gave us thoughtful little treats before and after the tour. Definitely recommend this to everyone who isn’t after a very hectic tour and would prefer a laid back one. The vegetarian meal after the tour was also very yummy!!
such a GREAT tour! my tour guide was very attentive and paid attention to the things I needed out of the trip. it was such an intimate experience with the tea making and coffee making. it was very educational and if anything I learned so much more about the culture through this experience. I highly recommend booking if you want to do something relaxing and to distress from a hectic trip.
Recommended this tour to all our family and friends! It’s best to start your vacation in Vietnam with this tour to really experience their coffee and tea culture in the most authentic way. We really enjoyed the positive vibe that this tour brings from start to finish. The nice dinner (we took the afternoon session) with An and Tham at the end of the tour was the perfect finale. It felt like hanging out with good friends, rather than local tour guides.
It was a well thought-out and personal tour, Tam was a wonderful guide as well! We went to a mix of old and new coffee shops where I learned to make Vietnamese coffee, and the guides explained the history and details of the coffee well. The tea was very unique and delicious too. A lot of coffee and tea are provided throughout the tour. I would recommend this tour, I had a great experience and learned a lot!
The experience was wonderful and we learnt more about Vietnamese coffee and tea culture. The food was great and we really enjoyed ourselves.
It's highly recommended for those who interested in Vietnamese coffee and tea culture to join! Tâm Has passion to share and express each question and complete explanation. The vegetarian restaurant is really good! Nice choice!
I booked this tour being my first time in HCM, I thought it was a joined tour but to my surprise it was a private tour and I was picked up from my hotel. My tour guide An was superb! She is very knowledgeable with coffee and tea. Never a dull moment. Tour includes, a face to face demo using an old traditional way of making vietnamese coffee at the oldest coffee shop in HCM. The coffee class for making phin coffee was amazing too, they also taught me how to make coconut coffee, egg coffee. Lastly the tea session was beyond I imagined it to be. I was literally full from all the tea served by Thanh the tea master, she is so passionate about the tea culture and did a tea 101 and learned so much even for a short period of time. And oh, Thanh takes great photo too! Will def recommend to someone who wants to know learn about coffee and tea culture of Saigon, taking this tour is a great start to learn more about the culture of Saigon.
Its a unique tour as I don't think I'll be able to find all those places by myself. The tea ceremony leg was very enlightening and turned out to be very personal to me. All in all, I recommend doing this tour. Very different from the commercialized ones.
