Chiara is such an engaging and hospitable guide, with great knowledge about tea and manages to keep the whole trip fun and warm! the itinerary was just the right pace with the intention of a slow living vibe, i felt rejuvinated from the city life hustle. high recommended to join this tour for a "break" from the usual taipei to dos and enjoy the beautiful scenery and a good time at the tea house with the tea master who was equally lovely and hospitable!
We were picked up quickly and ahead of schedule at the meeting point. Our guide, Gordon, was friendly and very professional. The plantations were beautiful, even though it wasn't harvest season. There were lovely mountainous landscapes in the background. The visit was pleasant and not too tiring. We concluded the excursion with a very interesting tea tasting that lasted about an hour. We were able to sample grand cru teas served by the local producer (Baozhong, High Mountain Oolong, Honey Flavor Oolong), and they were simply excellent.
Seeing tea fields and learning all about the Taiwan tea industry was very interesting followed by tea tasting experience later in the tour was a professional/serious affair. Weather wasn’t kind (drizzle and cloudy) to see the full beauty of the thousand Island lake but still pleased we visited. Guide (Jimmy) was knowledgeable and attentive. Recommend this tour.
One of the best Klook tours I’ve ever booked, absolutely worth it. Thousand Island Lake was excellent. I expected zero visibility because of the rain, but I was completely wrong; the views were breathtaking. The tea tasting was a highlight as well, fun, engaging, and genuinely educational. Our guide, Cristina, was amazing. She knows this tour inside and out and shared interesting trivia throughout the day. She even suggested starting earlier since everyone had already arrived, which helped us make the most of our time. Her time management was spot-on, and her knowledge was impressive; our conversations flowed effortlessly from tea to politics to ecology. Cristina is truly a superstar tour guide, and I would definitely recommend this tour.
It has been an interesting half day tour. I enjoyed it very much. Such a beautiful place despite the weather. It will be extraordinary if it's not foggy. But it's perfect what it was today. Learning how to brew a cup of tea is the highlight of the tour. Our guide, Christina has been fantastic all the way. Highly recommended!
You can see beautiful tea plantations and mountain views, and learn about the tea-making process and history. Finally, under the guidance of a master, we experienced the flavors of black tea, green tea, and oolong tea. Unfortunately, we couldn't explore the old street, as the itinerary was more focused on the experience itself before leaving. However, it's definitely a place worth visiting on your own.
Grace was a wonderful and kind guide giving us a great overview of tea history in Taiwan with many scenic stops all around Pingyi. She was mindful to everyone in our small group and welcomed all the questions we had surrounding tea.
We had an amazing experience on the Shiding Tea Tour! Alice was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights into Taiwan’s rich tea culture. She walked us through the entire tea-making process, from harvesting to brewing, making it both educational and engaging. We also had the chance to taste a variety of delicious teas at a cozy and serene tea house with a lovely ambiance. The peaceful setting, paired with the rich flavors of the teas, made the experience truly relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about Taiwan’s tea heritage! 😊
This tour was AMAZING!!! The views were spectacular, the guide was really knowledgeable, and the tea shop experience was so cool. Such a great and refreshing tour after the chaos of the city
gorgeous area with overlook of the river. Small bus to get out of Taipei, then transfers to mini-van to get further up the mountain (very narrow street). Learned at lot about tea
