Kampong Phluk Floating Village Sunset Tour

It is a wodnerful experience being on a tour with Tom our guide. He speaks with clarity and with good volume so everybody in the tour are able to hear what he says. He is very informative and ensures everybody are well taken care of. It is very humbling to see how the villagers live here with very little but very happy nonetheless. Thank you Tom and the tour for sich a wonderful experience.

The tour was such an amazing experience. Our guide Mr. Chut was very insightful and made the tour even more enjoyable. It was great to be able to visit the floating village and take a peak into the local life. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. We especially loved the mangrove canoe as it was unlike anything we’ve ever done before. One thing to be aware of is that the mangrove tour is not included in the fee.

Transportation and tour guide are included, and the tour guide is wonderful. We were very lucky to see the sunset today. The itinerary is not tiring, and the boat ride back was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep.

Fantastic tour. I enjoyed seeing the villages and how people live. This is the dry season, so it's even easier to understand how the houses are built. Our guide, Pheap, was very informative and took photos for us. It was a small group, with only 4 people.

A very good experience, very worthwhile to visit in Siem Reap. The tour guide Poun was very enthusiastic, from hotel pick-up and drop-off, to the village, then to the mangroves, and finally the most wonderful sunset. Highly recommended! You must try it, five-star praise.

I really enjoyed this tour and found it a very interesting cultural experience. Our guide Tom, was actually from the village, which added a lot to the experience. The boat trip through Kampong Phluk was fascinating, especially seeing how the houses are built around the changing water levels and how much life revolves around the lake. I also really enjoyed the smaller canoe ride through the mangroves with local women. It cost an extra 22,000 riel, and I liked knowing the money went directly into the community. There are confronting aspects too, including the poverty and pollution, but that is part of seeing the reality of the area. My only frustration was that after the scheduled stop at the floating restaurant, we made another unscheduled restaurant stop for around 40–45 minutes. It made the tour run later than expected but nothing too major. Otherwise, it was a worthwhile and memorable experience.

Thank you to our guide, Chout, for the detailed introduction to the village. His enthusiastic service throughout the journey allowed us to gain a thorough understanding of the village's history and current living conditions. He even helped us take photos. We'll definitely look for him again on our next visit.
