Fresh air, magnificent views, and a good amount of exercise, the experience of a morning walk around Uluru is a memorable way to start the day. You will rise early to be picked up in your comfortable shuttle bus departing for Talinguru Nyakunytjaku - the Uluru sunrise viewing area where you will enjoy a light breakfast and a hot drink to keep you warm. As you watch the first ray of sun hit the mighty rock, you will be learning about Uluru’s long history from your guide. Your first walk will be from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site. You will hear stories about the Mala Men before reaching Mala Walk, one of the most important habitation areas for the local Aboriginal people over thousands of years. Your walk will take you through to Kantju Gorge, where a waterfall plunges 90 meters into the side of Uluru. Next, you will reach the Lungkata Walk and expect to hear about the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard story from your guide! Afterwards, you will arrive at Mutitjulu Waterhole, a once-important water source for the Anangu people. Your last walk will be back to the base of Kuniya Piti where you will receive a certificate of achievement!
