Barossa Valley Hop-On Hop-Off Wine Tour from Adelaide

I had an absolute great time with TrailHopper. At first, I was not sure about how this would work but it is basically a shuttle bus that goes around winery stops in loop (check out TrailHopper website for details). Anyhow, I want to rave about TrailHopper, which is that you get to experience the Aussie wine culture with easy access but at the same time Nathan, our tour guide, will enrich your knowledge about the Australian wine, South Australia/Australia, and so many other things. Making friends with other tourists is another bonus. Lastly but not least, i also have to recommend Rusden for your must-stop-for-tasting. Their cab sav and Zinfandel blew my mind!! Definately coming back to Adeliade and joining another tour by TrailHopper. Thank you Nathan and Cherie for the amazing trip to happen!

The Barossa Valley tour using the trail hopper was great😆 We could freely choose the wineries we wanted to go to, and the winery tasting fee was the best value for moneyㅎㅎ If you don't eat lunch for a long time, you can visit up to 4 wineries if you visit them for 1 hour each! The bus driver and guide were really kind and fun~ I'm the only Asian and most of the people were Australian, but we had a great time without any inconvenience and we tasted so much wine that we came back to our accommodation drunkㅋㅋㅋ I definitely recommend it to those who like wine! Especially make sure to stop by Rusden ^^

A great way to see Barossa Valley! even if you only visit 1 wineyard, there are still other places to keep you busy

Love the hop-on hop-off idea! We managed to go 4 spots at our own choices. It was really fun! We loved the stops at St Hallett and Lambert. St Hallett offered wine at very affordable price; Lambert had the nicest white wine which we regretted only getting 1 (should have buy more….)

It doesn't matter if you don't make a reservation at the winery. There are few people, just go and drink. Penfolds winery tasting 6 glasses of wine is $20 and the winery is $10. I think Rusden is the best! Although it is very niche. There are restaurants when you get off the Angaston ship. It's too expensive to eat at the winery. It's better to eat in this town. I recommend the pizza shop.

The day tour service is mainly about transportation, because you cannot drive when you are drunk. They have a very detailed, efficient hop on & off time schedule, with a variety of options, you may need some time to study it and understand it. They also provide some background information for each winery (eg. prize for wine tasting) for you to choose your stays. Technicially, at maxium you can go 4 places, and stay for an hours for each. If you dont have any preference or cannot decide which to go, the tour guide also helpful to give suggestion. But, I would suggest you study the information sheet in advance because you may be disappointed if you do not like the place, and you need stay one hour. Other than wine tasting, dont expect too much from that region, because it is rural area, no much things to see there except wine drinking. Recommanded if you want to chill and drink for one day.
