Wave Rock, York & Aboriginal Culture Day Tour

Our tour guide James driving C2 was fabulous, friendly, patience, helpful and thoughtful. He provided sights of historical aspects of different locations, animals, agriculture and many more. We were provided sufficient time to move around each locations, lunch breaks and restroom breaks. Also did a dinner stopover for us to pack dinner because almost all eateries in the city are closed when we reached around 8.30pm. The itinerary was well organised for the entire trip. We visited the Rabbit Proof Fence, passed through Corrigin Dog Cemetery, Hippo’s Yawn, lunch at The Lace Place Hyden, Gnamma Walk Trail and Wave Rock (Kattar Kich), also The Hump and Mulka’s Cave. Along the way we get to see huge plot of Canola Fields, rich bright yellow flowerings in sunny weather. Overall worthwhile trip indeed 👍👍👍

Our tour guide Jonathan is very resourceful and knowledgeable. we also got to visit the wildlife park and toy museum. the view of the Waverock is stunning.

Kudos to our guide for driving super long distance (est 8 hours) despite his age. Thanks. Wave Rock was amazing but the rest nothing much. The coach ought to be better maintained and upgraded. Broken footrests and no aircon. We were literally baking in the coach. Comms broke down as one of the restaurants didn’t receive notification that we were arriving so didn’t manage to prepare any lunch prior to our arrival.

great trip, with a funny tour guide, Gordon, who is sharing many funny stories and histories along the total of 700+ km trip! thumb up to Gordon. The lunch is a bit too simple though it was delicious, but it would be more impressive if can provide few more country side dishes. over all, the trip was fun.

The view at Hyden Rock is amazing. Besides the famous Wave Rock, there is the Hippos Yawn and the hand motifs Mulka's Cave in the same area. You can climb up Hyden Rock to have a great view of the surroundings.

Pick up was seamless and our first stop os at York, a quaint old town. There isnt much to do there except taking photos and it really just a toilet break stop and for us to grab some light snacks. Afterwhich, we headed to Mulka’s cave where the guide gave us a commentary of the myth. We had about half an hour here. Before heading for lunch. There was a toy museum and small sanctuary at the lunch place which was free to roam aft lunch and we enjoyed the sanctuary! Next, we visited the Hippo’s Yawn before arriving at the highlight of the trip - Wave Rock. Overall, the experience was great for us and everything went smoothly!

Pretty long journey from Perth, left Perth about 7am (depending on pick up location) and ended at 9pm. Lisa and Le were great tour guides. Good tour if the wave rock is on your bucket list. it’s about a 3-4 hours drive the wave rock.

Overall is a really good experience. However, there is a bit of mess in the morning where we have to change buses at Crown Perth after picked up by one driver. Went to a beautiful little town at York, stopped by a Dog cemetery for some quick photos, and there is enough time for us to walk above the wave Rock for amazing view. Lunch at wave Rock cafe - simple & nice. Driver is very informative,but I think it's too tired for him to be a driver at the same time provide commentary throughout the journey, ensure road safety & need to take care of all passengers & make sure noone been left out at any places we stopped. If there is 2 people from ADAMS will be better by not stressing out 1 person. Very good commentary by driver & we passed by some beautiful canola fields!

The return journey of this one-day trip takes nearly nine hours. The actual time for activities in the scenic spots is limited, but it is enough to take beautiful photos. Lunch is a very simple braised chicken with rice, lettuce and tomato. There is also toast and butter. It’s okay to eat and fill your stomach. The driver introduced the local historical and cultural background in detail along the way, and it was great to provide assistance if there were some rocks at the scenic spots that were difficult to climb. Because of the rain on the return trip, the driver took me directly to the door of the hotel (not in the pick-up point option). Thank you very much.
