Want was my husband’s instructor and Ardy was my daughter’s instructor. both very good!

My child and I both applied for 1:1 private lessons, but the teachers taught us well. I couldn't wake up well because I was shy, so I was sorry that I kept dragging my surfboard out and riding the waves. My son is very athletic, so he got up right away the second time. Both photos and videos are so nice, I'm satisfied. The child was so happy that it was colorless to hesitate whether or not to take a surfing lesson at first. However, the process took some time, such as checking that Klook and the local surf school were not well connected. In addition, I thought I could do it at that time because I could write down the time zone I wanted, but for safety reasons, surfing lessons were only available twice a day, around 10:00 and 4:00, when the waves were not high. I guess it could have been better. Since the time when the waves are low is different every day, we recommend that you make a reservation through Klook and check WhatsApp the day before.
It was really fun to take a surfing lesson with my friends. The whole process was full of fun! Thanks to the coach's patient guidance and professional explanation, we quickly mastered the basics and were able to stand up successfully for the first time. It was a great sense of accomplishment.
This surf school is absolutely fantastic! They are dedicated, responsible, and patient, and they really helped me stand up on the board. When I finally managed to stand up on my own, everyone cheered for me—it was so touching! I wish I could continue tomorrow, but unfortunately, I only booked a solo lesson for my little classmate. Experience: Couldn't be better Coach: Handsome and professional Safety: Even if you can't swim, there's nothing to fear
We're a Japanese couple in our 50s and each chose a private lesson. It started at 8:00 AM. The car picked us up from our hotel in Sanur before 7:00 AM. We were given a locker with a key, took our time changing, and bought water at a nearby convenience store. Our instructors were Made and Bima. Both were fluent in Japanese. They thoroughly taught us how to stand up on the beach. The waves were a bit big that day, but we went out to sea after 8:00 AM, and they assessed the waves and pushed our boards, so we were able to stand up right away. They constantly asked, "Are you okay? Are you tired?" and encouraged us by singing Japanese songs. Odyssey also has its own lifeguard on the beach to support us in returning to shore. And the photographer took about 100 photos of us. You can purchase them at the office for 150K INR. The instructors are great at teaching, the lifeguard ensures safety, and the photography is wonderful. There are many surf schools, but the quality is completely different. I highly recommend it. I recommend installing WhatsApp in advance for communication.
We took on the challenge as a couple in their 50s who only speak a little English and are not very active. We were tempted by the price and thought that a cheap English lesson might be okay, but we were right to choose this place. Thanks to the teacher's help in Japanese, my husband was able to do it well many times and I was also able to succeed a few times. It was a really fun experience. We were able to take lots of photos and we received 150K for both of us via airdrop. I highly recommend it.
The school is located in a hotel. Instructor is professional and caring, and can give clear instructions. Photographer will also take pictures (extra charge needed) for your surfing. Shower and changing facilities are clean. Hotel pick up is also included.
We booked 5 private lesson. Head coach gave us briefing and we practise on shore abit before going down Trough-out the lesson we have private coach to help to guide us. Most of us able to stand on the board after 1.5 hours. 15 mins break in between. The school is located in mercure hotel Kuta so super convenient if you are staying there. Kuta beach has very fine sands and few rocks, so it’s no problem if you do not wear water shoes. We find the grip on the board is better without shoes
Odyssey was a fantastic place to do our beginner lesson. They have an indoor shop area with lockers, changing/shower rooms which makes for a pleasant experience. They also provided rashguards and towels (for after the lesson). Ti was our instructor and we managed to stand up on the board by the end of the lesson - fantastic feeling! There was also a 'lifeguard' that helped look out for all the students, and there was a photographer to catch all those moments, which they will send you via air drop for 150k/2 pax. Kuta waves were friendly for beginners and a good place to start. The instructors would also be in the sea to give you a push at the start to help propel you forward. All in all a great experience! (We wore prescription goggles which turned out to be a great idea - recommended for those with myopia! Wet shoes not strictly needed but useful as the beach can be a little rough at the swash zone.)
