Guide
Yunyang Longgang National Geological Park is located in the southeastern corner of Yunyang County, adjacent to Lichuan City in Hubei Province, and Fengjie County and Wanzhou District in Chongqing City, with its core area 80 kilometers from the county seat. The scenic area features unique landforms, dense karst caves, strange peaks and rocks, towering stalagmites, majestic and beautiful scenery, diverse and colorful, making it a museum of natural science and a grand garden of geological landscapes, integrating grandeur, wonder, danger, steepness, tranquility, and beauty. The scenic area's "Cloud-top Flying Joy" series of experience projects allows you to experience the magical journey of jungle traversing and the exciting challenge of high-altitude flying. The "Cloud-top Corridor Bridge" is one of the core attractions of the scenic area. It resembles an "aerial flower" blooming at the top of a 1106-meter-high cliff, integrating modern art and natural landscapes, adding a touch of dynamism. The entire corridor bridge has a perimeter of 60 meters, a cantilever length of 26.68 meters, and its deck and railings are made of fully transparent tempered glass, allowing visitors to enjoy a 720-degree view with peace of mind. After rain, the corridor bridge can present a beautiful scene of "clouds and mountains underfoot, and white clouds kissing overhead." "Longgang" is located in the southern gate area of the scenic spot. Known as the "first karst cylinder in the world" and a "peerless geological wonder on earth," Longgang is a naturally formed sinkhole. It is named for its general shape resembling a water cylinder, with its rim winding like a giant dragon circling the edge of the sinkhole. Longgang has a depth of 335 meters and is hailed as the "world's first cylinder" due to its unique geological formation where its walls and bottom are nearly 90 degrees vertical. "Longdong" (Dragon Cave) is a karst cave naturally formed by long-term dissolution of groundwater. The cave mainly features karst landscapes, which, due to varying degrees of dissolution, have formed vivid, diverse, and lifelike formations. Inside the cave, there is an independent stalagmite called "Dragon Pillar," also known as the "Sea-stabilizing Needle," which is the treasure of Longdong. The "Cloud-top Rainbow Swing" is located at the Magpie Bridge Service Center in the Longgang scenic area, installed on the edge of a cliff over 700 meters above the Shisun River. The main height of the Cloud-top Rainbow Swing is 108 meters, with speeds reaching approximately 120-130 kilometers per hour, a lift height of 88 meters, and a swing distance from the cliff of about 80 meters, making it very high, extremely fast, and with a large swing amplitude among similar international products.
