The Qianyecao Scenic Area is located along the Yankou to Wawu section of the Fangdoushan Mountain Range in Shizhu County, Chongqing. It is only 34 kilometers from Xituo, an ancient town from the Ming and Qing dynasties, which is a Yangtze River port. It is 43 kilometers along National Highway 318 to Zhongxian, and its periphery is connected in a loop with famous attractions such as Shibaozhai and Fengdu Ghost City, giving it a very prominent geographical advantage. The average altitude is 1,300 meters, the terrain is wide and flat, and the area covers 6,600 hectares.
The scenic area is rich in resources and distinctive features, integrating mountains, forests, grasslands, rocks, and livestock. Four major characteristic tourism resources are embedded within it: ten thousand mu of grassland, ten thousand mu of firethorn, ten thousand mu of stone teeth, and ten thousand mu of forest. The scenic area boasts lush green grass, fragrant flowers and singing birds, and herds of cattle and sheep, resembling a natural masterpiece of traditional Chinese painting.
The scenic area is developing four functional zones: the Yankou Leisure Service Reception Area, the Maping Ethnic Sports and Fitness Area, the Daping Grassland Sightseeing and Entertainment Area, and the Wawu Tujia Folk Culture Experience Area. Plans include the construction of special projects such as a cattle racing arena, a bullfighting arena, a lawn sunbathing area, leisure cabins, a Red Bean Avenue, and a racecourse.
