For Sea/Lake Tours

Snorkeling information
- Snorkeling is a physical activity conducted in open-ocean environments, where conditions such as currents and waves may vary. For safety and enjoyment, participants should be confident and competent swimmers
- This tour is not recommended for non-swimmers or guests who are uncomfortable entering the ocean. If you have any concerns about your suitability for the activity, please contact the operator before booking
- Flotation devices are available, and the experienced crew members will provide a safety briefing, guidance on water entry and exit, and assistance throughout the experience
- Snorkels, masks, and noodles for floatation will be provided. Stinger suits are offered all year round to protect from stingers but fins are not provided on Lady Enid for snorkeling
- Dietary requirement: Please specify any dietary requirement more than 24 hours prior to the tour start time
- Health conditions which are not advisable to participate in the snorkeling activity: This activity is not recommended for guests with conditions that may cause loss of consciousness (Including certain forms of epilepsy or diabetes), or those with heart, lung, or respiratory conditions such as asthma. Guests whose asthma or epilepsy may be triggered by cold water or saltwater mist should not participate
- The restrictions above reflect the requirements of the Snorkeling Code of Practice 2024, which is approved under the Safety in Recreational Water Activities Act 2011

- Guests who wish to make their own way to the meeting point, please select the Lady Enid meeting point and meet the operator at the Garden Bar Bistro on the carpark side
- Guests who are prone to seasickness should check with a chemist for the best preventative motion sickness medication for you as the operator does not offer sea sickness pills on board
- Please note that it is advisable to take the sea sickness tablets before departing as a preventative measure, and bring some with you during the day if needed
Accessibility & fitness requirements
- The yacht has many steps, narrow walkways, and a set of steep ladder-like steps to go below decks, where the bathroom and kitchen facilities are
- Moderate level of fitness is required to get off the yacht and take the short walk to Hill Inlet Lookout. A small ladder is used to get into the dinghy (A small boat that takes you to the island)
- In addition to the vessel itself, the dock ramp may be steep at low tide and there are steps to board the boat herself at the dock. Keep in mind it is a working yacht, and there are ropes and stays around the boat that you may need to step over, duck under, and be mindful of
- Upon arrival at the beach, guests must climb out of the dinghy, and may have to step into shallow water
- The walk to the lookout on Langford Island, and the cultural site in Nara Inlet, are marked by Queensland Parks as ‘Rough’ or grade 3
- The Hill Inlet walk to the lookout over Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island is marked by Queensland Parks as ‘Moderate’ or grade 2
- Hill Inlet Lookout walk: Please note that the walk is uphill, and the ground is a mixture of sand, dirt, stone, steps, and more
- Both comprise of a combination of sloped, dirt and sand bushwalking trails and large man-made stone steps
Additional information
- It is advisable to not book any day tours on the same day as a departing flight or onward transfer (Unforeseen circumstances can occur and it may include sudden changes in weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other operational factors that may result in delays or schedule adjustment)
- It is highly recommended to allow an overnight stay after the tour or ensuring adequate time between your tour and departure
- Please note that it is strongly encouraged for all guests to obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to travel
- Tour itineraries are subject to tides, weather, sea conditions, and other environmental factors beyond our control. These conditions may affect beach access, water depth, routing, and the appearance of locations such as Hill Inlet
- The operator will assess conditions on the day and may adjust the itinerary to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience possible
- Please note that natural conditions, wildlife sightings, and visual features cannot be guaranteed. Changes to the itinerary due to weather, tides, or sea conditions are not eligible for refunds or compensation
- Guests will be required to remove your shoes before boarding unless you have white, soft sole shoes on
