Share the skies with an Egyptian Vulture in this unique paragliding experience. Birds of prey are known to have a natural instinct to conserve energy as they fly, drawing toward thermals – rising currents of warm air – in order to travel farther distances without flapping their wings. With a trained vulture as your airborne guide, you'll soar against the Himalaya, across the dense forest green, and experience feeding the winged creature as it lands on your hand for a snack. You'll also be treated to a session on vulture conservation and learn how parahawking has helped prevent Nepal's vultures from extinction. Offered exclusively by Blue Sky Paragliding, it's an incredible initiative that brings together adventure, eco-tourism and conservation in an exhilarating journey, with proceeds going directly to conservation projects. Plus, where else in the world will you get to paraglide with vultures?

I enjoyed an amazing parahawking experience with Scott and his team at the Parahawking Project last week! This is a truly one of a kind adventure supporting a great cause in saving beautiful breeds of vultures that are near extinction! This should be on everyone's bucket list! The Parahawking Project is truly a class act company and I look forward to visiting them again in the very near future!
This was an amazing experience and one that I plan on doing again with my children when they are older. I highly recommend doing the falconry lesson as well as the flight as it really put me at ease when working with the birds. Being from the US my only image of a vulture prior to this trip was of the ones from cartoons that foretold of doom and gloom, but these birds are absolutely gorgeous creatures! It is quite evident that all of the birds there are considered a part of Scott's family. The work he does with the vulture population is tremendous and the rescue work he does with local birds that are brought to him is nothing short of amazing. Yes, this is more expensive than just paragliding, but knowing the work that Scott and his crew do and how the money is utilized makes it more than worth the extra money. You will never experience anything like this anywhere else. We also stayed the night at Maya Devi and felt right at home. The accommodations were clean and well kept and I had a ball running around the grounds with Talo! Fantastic time and can't wait to go back!
