Program Introduction
OSAMU GOODS 50th Anniversary Exhibition: Osamu Harada's OSAMU GOODS STYLE
In Japanese, "GOODS" refers to small merchandise. The "OSAMU GOODS" brand was born from character products personally designed by illustrator Osamu Harada. As one of the earliest characters to enter the Japanese market, OSAMU GOODS quickly created a sensation with Osamu Harada's unique "cute aesthetic." This exhibition is not only an important milestone for OSAMU GOODS' 50th anniversary but also the first complete overseas presentation of Osamu Harada's creative journey.
In 1992, Osamu Harada personally served as editor-in-chief and founded the fan club newsletter "OSAMU GOODS STYLE." He once said, "OSAMU GOODS are like flowers adorning a room – although not necessities of life, having them can make daily life more enjoyable, right?" This idea also shaped an "OSAMU GOODS STYLE" that integrates design into life and showcases personal taste in details.

Step into OSAMU GOODS STYLE, grasp three major exhibition highlights at once
Aligning with the exhibition theme "OSAMU GOODS STYLE," the exhibition starts from a lifestyle perspective, not only presenting the classic characters loved by fans for 50 years but also further exploring how Osamu Harada integrated design into daily life, shaping a unique "adult cuteness," leading the public to delve into Osamu Harada's creative world.
①【OSAMU GOODS STYLE Lifestyle Proposal】
More than just visual cuteness, it's an aesthetic about how to choose objects for life. This spirit can be seen in product design: Osamu Harada didn't simply "print" characters on products but considered materials, packaging, fonts, color schemes, and usage scenarios comprehensively, making each item both functional and stylish.
②【Hundreds of Classics Fully Assembled】
No need to travel all the way to Japan! The exhibition gathers over 300 classic design works, from stationery, bags, clothing to household goods, presenting OSAMU GOODS' half-century product development trajectory, allowing visitors to fully experience how "adult cuteness" entered daily life.
③【Precious Original Manuscripts Debuting in Taiwan】
Original manuscripts from product development and design production instruction manuals, previously unreleased in Taiwan, will be exhibited on-site. These reveal how Osamu Harada started from illustrations and extended to products, packaging, and overall visual design, creating a deeply rooted lifestyle brand.
