Hoi An Lantern Making Class & Lantern Boat Ride Experience

I had a wonderful experience joining the Making Lantern Class with Lantern Boat Trip. The lantern-making workshop was fun, engaging, and easy to follow, even for beginners. The instructor was patient and explained each step clearly, allowing everyone to create their own beautiful handmade lantern. After the class, the lantern boat trip was truly magical. Cruising along the river while admiring the colorful lanterns reflecting on the water created a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere. The view was especially stunning in the evening when the town lit up with hundreds of glowing lanterns. The combination of a cultural hands-on activity and a relaxing boat ride made this experience unique and memorable. It was a great way to learn about local traditions while enjoying the beauty of the city. I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Hoi An, whether you're traveling with family, friends, or as a couple.

I had an excellent experience making our own take home lanterns and the other lanterns to place in the river. My teacher was lovely. And the boat tour was a nice touch to end the experience by placing our lit lanterns in the river

The overall experience was excellent! The teacher was very meticulous and patiently taught us how to make lanterns. Perhaps because we arrived early, it was just my child and me, so we fully enjoyed the hands-on crafting experience. After we finished making the lanterns, the teacher even gave us time to eat and wander around, so we could come back to release the lotus lanterns when the lighting was best. The teacher can also help arrange a private boat, so there's no need to wait in line. Overall, I highly recommend it!

We had so much fun!! Le was really nice and welcoming. We had to wait for the boat tour, because it was raining. But it wasn‘t an issue since we had a good time regardless! We would definitely recommend it. Thank you so much!

My guide was very friendly and patient. She taught me how to make a beautiful paper lantern where I could write my wishes before releasing it on the river, and she also helped me create a lantern to take home as a souvenir. I really enjoyed this workshop, and the boat ride was definitely the highlight of the experience. The atmosphere was magical, especially with all the lanterns lighting up the river at sunset. This is a wonderful cultural experience and something I highly recommend to anyone visiting Hoi An. A memorable activity that combines creativity, local traditions, and beautiful scenery.

Le was and amazing guide for my family. She was patient and communicated well in both English and Vietnamese. Our kids loved writing down their wishes and setting it along the river. We highly recommend this excursion!

Making lanterns ourselves was so much fun, and we got to take them home as souvenirs, which was great! The teacher also showed us how to fold water lanterns, on which we wrote our wishes. Afterward, they took us on a lantern boat ride to the Thu Bon River to release them. Our family had a whole boat to ourselves, which was wonderful! The boatman even took us to a more secluded spot, away from the crowds, to release them, which was incredibly refreshing! Highly recommend!

Despite arriving earlier than the meeting time in the intense heat, they immediately started the lantern-making workshop. It looked difficult at first, but with clear and careful instructions, even I, who am clumsy, was able to make one. I was worried about how to fit the finished lantern into my suitcase, but thankfully it could be made smaller. Being able to board the lantern boat during peak time was thanks to signing up for this class; Hoi An's Old Town was incredibly crowded and chaotic with people waiting for boats. I highly recommend it. The lantern I made myself is a wonderful souvenir.
