few things tend to make Hong Kong comic cons feel especially fun: Energy and scale: Big, buzzing show floors packed with artists, merch, cosplay, indie zines, and game demos keep the pace high and the senses busy. East–meets–West mix: You get local Hong Kong comics (manhua), Cantonese pop-culture icons, and Mainland/Taiwan influences alongside Japanese manga/anime and Western comics and films—lots of variety in one place. Cosplay culture: Creative, high-effort cosplay is everywhere, with photo zones and spontaneous meetups that make even just walking around entertaining.

Buying tickets on Klook is super convenient; you just scan the QR code upon entry! This was Hong Kong's first Comic Con, and it was really fun! I hope to go again next year.

10:41 AM: Arrived at Wan Chai MTR. 10:54 AM: Started slowly queuing at the Convention and Exhibition Centre 3F. 11:11 AM: Exchanged for a wristband and entered (meaning it took about 17 minutes of queuing to get in). Conversely, queuing for the Louis Koo exhibition took even longer. 11:48 AM: Started queuing. 12:15 PM: Entered (it took 27 minutes to get in). Finally, left at 1:13 PM. Is there a lot to see? I think it's average; it feels like there's a bit of everything, but also... Cosplay: Not that much, a lot of Spider-Man and many Ada Wong cosplayers. Is it worth it? HKD 150 isn't really worth it. If you want to see celebrities, then it's definitely worth it, but I'm not interested in that. I mainly just wanted to see the Louis Koo exhibition.

The event was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was really engaged. We got to see many familiar Hollywood superstars. I hope next year's event will be even bigger and better. I'm really looking forward to it! 😊

The cosplayers spontaneously took photos with fans, and the artist alley was quite well-organized. The atmosphere was excellent. Hong Kong needs this kind of international anime and manga event! I hope it will be held every year!

It is a dream come true to meet Mr Gus Fring (actually Giancarlo Esposito) after all these years. Breaking Bad has long been one of my favourite dramas of all time. I am glad that I could get his autographs and exchange a few words with him.

Review for: One-day Standard Ticket

The venue was too small, crowded, and involved constant queuing. The main stage was tiny and lacked presence. There were too few exhibiting IPs; major ones like Star Wars and Marvel didn't even have large souvenir shops. The merchandise lacked novelty and appeal, with many items feeling like cheap street vendor goods. I didn't find anything I liked. Exhibits for anime-style mobile games, which seemed to be the main focus, didn't interest me at all and actually lowered the overall quality of the event. There were no rest areas. Food options were limited and severely overpriced. After walking around, I didn't feel the joy I expected; instead, I felt empty, powerless, and physically and mentally exhausted. It felt like my passion was just for superficial excitement, without any genuine connection. However, the ticket price was reasonable, and the guests were excellent. The entry arrangements and guidance were well-executed and not chaotic. I hope the event improves, expands in scale, and offers more depth in the future.

This is an amazing event you can’t miss! It’s slightly different vibe from the traditional HK AniCon in July, both are fun and have lots to see/ buy!
