This was such a delightful experience. Other tours, including pickup, felt a bit expensive at around 60,000 won, so I chose this one because the price seemed reasonable without pickup. It turned out to be an excellent choice! Each team was assigned a guide who was very kind and explained everything well (it seemed like you could choose between English or Chinese). They said there are 15 elephants living there, and they were all incredibly cute and gentle. At the elephant cafes in the suburbs, the food baskets were small and expensive, but here, I got to feed them plenty and interact with the elephants a lot. I think it will be a lifelong memory! The meal was Chinese, but I thoroughly enjoyed the scrambled eggs, stir-fried meat, and noodles. I definitely plan to revisit this place next time!
There was a buffet spread and my husband who has allergies to dairy, wheat, nuts, and eggs could still have some traditional meals. They also had hot tea and water. There are other drinks and snacks for purchase. It’s a pretty view. We were able to lock our items in a locker for free. They have covered seating with fans and western restrooms with showers (if you get dirty and want to change). They also have a cute gift shop! We visited the female elephants and the babies to feed (food for elephants were provided). Then we got to pose for photos with the male elephant and he greeted us goodbye with a bow. Then we did a 20-25 minute long bamboo rafting — very safe and peaceful then took a bus back (they provided) to the campground for about 3-5 minutes. After that, we waited for it to stop raining and did some ziplining.
It's simply "the best." It's clear this facility raises its elephants with great care, as they are never chained or ridden. There were also baby elephants, and it was truly adorable to feed and touch them. We even participated in their bath time. They provide changes of clothes, flip-flops, and towels, so you only need to bring your underwear. It's a highly recommended sanctuary. The guide was also very kind and took lots of photos for us!
The pickup was on time, and the driver was excellent and very patient, waiting for us while we bought durian by the roadside. The camp experience, from meals to activities, was seamless, and the facilities were well-equipped, even offering water at three different temperatures. The guide who led our experience spoke Chinese and helped us take photos throughout. She was very accommodating and took plenty of pictures for us 📸(^_^). The elephants were all incredibly well-behaved and intelligent. They even gave us flowers 🌸.
the experience was amazing, taking care of the elephants, playing and feeding them was so funny. the bamboo rafting was so relaxing and the food so good too. tommy 2, the guide was very funne and very well prepared, he explained very well about elephants life and diet, thanks! mr T my driver was very kind, we shared some thai tea and beers having very enjoyable conversation. i totally recommend the experience, unforgettable! i will come back for sure when i have the chance.
The impromptu half-day elephant tour turned out to be the biggest highlight of our entire trip. From the very beginning, we were captivated by our guide's cheerful and enthusiastic introduction. You could feel her passion for elephant conservation, and the entire elephant interaction experience was very well-organized. From preparing food, feeding, interacting, taking photos, to playing in the water, the timing was just right. The children had a wonderful time, and to top it all off, there was a buffet lunch available afterward. Buying through Klook was definitely a great deal!
Everything was very satisfying, we loved it! The staff also gave an excellent introduction. The elephants were very cute and well-behaved! This was our favorite activity in Chiang Mai!
We participated in the elephant bathing and bamboo rafting activities. Our guide, Tony, was excellent. He explained everything carefully and helped us take many beautiful photos! After bathing the elephants, he provided a clean towel for showering, and there were lockers available to securely store our belongings. Overall, it was a great experience!
Today, I went up the mountain again to visit the Chokchai Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai, where I had a close encounter with a herd of elephants. I fed them, made herbal vitamin balls, learned how to care for them by bathing them in the river, and went bamboo rafting. It was a lively and fun ecological experience, and the food was delicious! 👍👍👍
The Chinese-speaking on-site guide was excellent and very enthusiastic. This activity was truly special, from changing clothes, taking photos with the elephants, feeding them, making elephant snacks, to bathing them. The entire experience was seamless, and the included meal suited Asian tastes perfectly. Highly recommended! 👍
