Review for: Half Day Elephant Care (Afternoon)

This was our favourite thing to do on our Thailand trip. we booked it the night before which was really easy, pickup was confirmed and we were ready waiting, we were unsure of our pickup time so I phoned and spoke to a lovely lady who confirmed our driver was enroute. We had a great tour guide and when we arrived at the retirement park everything was so chilled and laid back, we ate a lovely lunch of noodles, rice and sweet potato fries with water and coffee supplies. We got a chance to feed the elephants during this and plenty time to relax with the animals. we then went and gave them a mud bath but on the elephants terms, when they wanted to and then we went to the bath to wash them down which was brilliant. Everyone was so lovely, clearly loved the elephants and we were given clothes to wear and a shower after with a towel. showers were great and soap too. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who doesn't want to ride elephants and wants to see them chilling. thankyou

this is the most relaxing and fun close encounter with the elephants! We made herbal vitamins for the elephants, feed them & bathe them! Plus they dont rush you on this tour. We had a good vegan lunch too! I definitely recommend this!

If you come to Chiang Mai, you must arrange a day to come here! There are no elephant performances or elephant rides here, only zero-distance contact with elephants! There are not many elephants, but I can really feel that they are happy ❤️ The activity flow is smooth, and there is enough time to interact with the elephants. The day before the event, an email will be sent to confirm the connection time of the next day. From the driver to the hotel on time to pick up and drop off, the breeder explaining elephant knowledge and teaching how to interact with elephants, to the simple and delicious breakfast at the end, the overall experience is a great experience!

Review for: Half Day Elephant Care (Morning)

Today is the most enjoyable day in Chiang Mai. I didn't make a strategy to find the elephant camp. It was unexpectedly fun. The tour guide is also very warm and friendly. If I come to Chiang Mai next time, I will definitely come again. The elephants are so cute.

An email notification will be sent the day before, and a phone number and Whats App account will be given for contact. I picked up the first hotel guest very punctually at 7 o'clock, and picked up everyone at about 8 o'clock (someone was not on time that day, which caused the time to be extended). There were eight people in the group I joined that day, and the car picked up and dropped off was a 12-seater, so the space was OK. After picking up the guests, it takes about 1 hour to drive to the park. There is freshly made coffee when you arrive at the park, and clothing changes (tops and shorts) are provided. The top has a large opening, so it is recommended to wear a swimsuit underneath during the itinerary. After changing clothes, you will be introduced to the elephants in the park (rescued from Thailand and other countries). Afterwards, they would feed the whole bag of bananas and take a walk together. The process is great, you can really get up close and personal with the elephants. After feeding, smear the elephant with mud, and then change the pool to bathe the elephant. After the activity, we had a simple lunch together. There will be a photographer who occasionally appears in the photo section. The photo per person is 300 baht. After lunch, you will see the electronic file to let you decide whether to buy it. If purchased, a downloadable URL will be sent via email. If you want to buy it, it is recommended to take pictures when the photographer appears. All in all, it is a highly recommended itinerary that allows you to really interact with elephants. It is also very suitable for parents to take their children. However, it is recommended for children above junior high school, because the last pool is quite deep, and those who are too small may not be able to enter the pool, which would be a pity for this activity. ps: During the activity, you should pay more attention to the baby elephants than the elephants, because they are young and sometimes move faster. Pay a little attention

Review for: Half Day Elephant Care (Morning)

It is very convenient to book an elephant camp trip from Klook. The elephant camp informed the boarding time and confirmation location by email one day in advance, and arrived 5-10 minutes earlier at the agreed time the next day. The car is a minibus with 15 people, it is air-conditioned, and it is very new and clean. Three groups of people were picked up one after another from the urban area and drove all the way to the elephant camp. The camp is on the mountain, and the tour guide took us to make nutritious balls to feed the elephants, while explaining that the elephants need vitamins, pills and various nutrients in the balls. In addition, a lot of free small bananas were provided as snacks for the elephant herd. We also bought milk on the spot to feed the baby elephants. Both adults and children had a great time. The first time I was so close to such a huge animal, I was a little nervous, but then I gradually relaxed and enjoyed it under the guidance of the staff. Among them, I also met Francesco, a volunteer who loves elephants. He goes to the elephant camp to do volunteer work on regular weekends. In addition to supporting with actions, he also donates money. His warm interaction with the elephants and his patient explanation of the differences between the elephants made us even more convinced that we did not come to the wrong place for this trip.

They are punctual for both departure and return times. The lunch had no protein options; it was vegetarian. The elephants seemed well cared for, and the staff appeared to enjoy their work. They charge 800 baht (optional) to receive photos taken during the morning tour for two people. If you don't like them, you don't have to pay. The baby elephant is adorable.

LOVED this experience! the elephants were adorable and so full of character, and the staff were engaging and very passionate telling us about the park and how to handle the elephants. we were looking for an ethical park to visit and we could tell that this was it. we were picked up at our hotel in Nimman at around 1240pm and the transport was an air con van (yay!) took us about 1hour-ish to the park. lunch is also provided - the goreng pisang/fried banana is delicious. the elephants were happy, well taken care of and sooooo adorable. they have been rescued from the circuses & lumber factories! do visit if you get the chance, it’s really worth it.

It was incredible to hang out with these majestic animals up close, and I left with hundreds of photos. This activity is highly recommended to any age group. They provided lunch and change of clothing. Though the cloth is quite revealing, u can definitely wear swimming attire inside and use the cloth as cover-ups. They provide towel for shower too. It is truly an amazing experience and worth the money. I am sure the funds will go to the care of the elephants.

It was a wonderful experience feeding and bathing these magnificent elephants. The staff were excellent from start to finish — from hotel pickup, to clear explanations, all the way through to drop-off. Of course, I’d love to see them roaming free in the wild, but conservation efforts like this are essential, as they can no longer survive on their own. Highly advise to bring mosquitoes repellent!!!!!
