Email by tour guide was sent one day before departure informing time of pick up. Picked up by the guide with small bus from old Hanoi quarter around 6.40am then switch bus after picking everyone up. Depart from Hanoi around 8am to Sapa Town. Took about 6hours. On arrival to Sapa town, the driver drop us at hotel, and after we took our lunch, we started our first trekking from Lao chai to Ta Van with the lovely and friendly black H’mong girl whom guide us the way and explained to us each minority ethnic’s cultures. It was an easy trekking it took about 2-2.30 hours to get to our homestay, Ta Van Ecological Homestay. When we reached the homestay, they served us apple cinnamon tea as welcoming tea. It’s tasty 😋 I thought we were supposed to sleep with the strangers, yet they offer us single room for free. The dinner was super tasty, they do serve grill salmon, teriyaki chicken, some veggies, fried Vietnam spring roll and deserts. Then we can have our own sweet time spending with the other trekkers. The next morning, after our breakfast, we started our 2nd trekking around 9-9.30am to cat cat village and the waterfall. The journey was super tough, as the way was so muddy and slippery, thanks for the local lady whom helped me along the way, although at the end they were trying to sell us stuffs or asking for some tips of minimal 40,000vnd = 2usd, I was absolutely done with it. After about 3.30-4 hours trekking, we then headed back to Sapa town to have our lunch. The hotel do offer us a room to shower for free. Overall, it was an awesome experience. The mesmerizing scenery will definitely worth for hard work and the mud we get.

GREAT PLACE TO EXPLORE! 1. After you had book the package, beyond the schedule which was written at the KLOOK website of this package, you will know nothing else until you go on with the tour on the day. Example like transportation to Sapa, which hotel (although it's stated 3 star hotel) & tour guide. 2. On the day, there will be a small bus to pick up you up from your hotel to a big bus then to Sapa, then when reach, you will be transfer to your hotel again with a small bus. But the transport was a pleasant one with wifi along the big bus ride. 3. We are not please when reach the hotel (although the attendant said it's newly builded). Before we board the tour, we had ask KLOOK that we want a hotel which got heater & hot shower (many times) because we know that it will be cold as it is winter time. But in our 5 rooms, 2 are without water heater & we are asked to share the shower room to another rooms. Although we are guaranteed that it is a 3 star hotel, but we don't feel like it. The stay was not so nice although the person who helped us are very helpful & kind. 4. The meal was a great although just a normal meal. 5. Last but not least the trekking experience was very good one as the view & scenery are best looking. You will not regret it. It was not so hard & danger as it thought. Our trekking tour guide for the 2 days (named Zur) was very kind & patient to wait for us taking photos.

Overall the activities all great. But on the first night the tour guide offer us to go Fansipan mountain at our on cost. And didn't tell us about there will be a long queue during this season. We have spend 1hour plus in the queue and do nothing up there just touch and the tour guide ask us to leave. I not even hit the peak yet...

Prompt pick up from hotel, excellent bus transport to and from Sapa and homestay and trek was brilliant!

The journey to and from sapa was quite exhausting. Sat on a normal coach there and a sleeper coach back. The space on both kind of buses is pretty squeezy, not recommended if you’re bigger in size. Our 2d1n itinerary was the opposite of what is stated here in klook. We did the Cat Cat village tour on the first day, and the Lao Chai/Tavan trekking on the 2nd. The trekking was thrilling but very tiring - one wrong step and you may roll down the hill and get seriously injured. Not easy with the muddy, wet and slippery terrain. Word of advise - RENT THE BOOTS!This is the first time I’m on a holiday and regretted not buying travel insurance - that’s how afraid I was during the trekking. Luckily we emerged safe and sound. As for the hotel, just a normal 3-star hotel with normal food provided.

The tour was great but be prepared to sit through a bus journey of approx 6-7 hours to get there. But totally worth it if you don’t mind a bit of trekking.

Guide is helpful. Beautiful sight from the Highlands. Best to wear boots while trekking as it is rainy and muddy

Our first day tour to the mountain was okay. My guide was knowledgeable but the weather in December is quite foggy hence nothing much to see. Second day guide Khu was very engaging and shared a lot of stories with us on the H’mong people culture and life. The tour is quite touristy for those who want something more authentic should opt for ta van hike or Lao cai walk with home stayed. We stayed in hotel and the staff are very hospitable.

This is the most badly organized tour I’ve ever been to. They picked us up from the hotel in Hanoi 75minutes late and picked us up from the hotel in a Sapa 1hr and 45mins late - after loading our bags into a fully loaded van and then gave us (all 5 of us) the option to stand in the van. They also changed the itenary listed on Klook, we did less and didn’t get to see much. They also placed us in a different hotel from everyone else and we have to walk to the other hotel (where everyone else was staying) for food. Quite disappointed with this tour and I have done multiple tours with Klook around the world- this is by far the worst I’ve been on. Book this trip if you like feeling frustrated and annoyed.
