Nepal is one of the best places in the world to go trekking, and this route is a great place to start for those unused to heavy hiking, preferring a leisurely walking journey. Take in the spectacular Himalayan range in the hillside town of Nagarkot, famed for its sunrise views, and glimpse the majestic Annapurna mountain range to the west and Everest to the east. From there, you'll be led to the Changunarayan Temple, a Vishnu shrine dating back to the 4th century. Made of elaborate carvings in stone, wood and metal, the oldest temple in Kathmandu is an incredible work of art to behold – so much so that it's one of seven World Heritage Sites in the country.
