Reviews
Desmond is an amazing guide. It was our first time going kayaking and we had a blast thanks to his instructions. He also helped us take pictures and videos of the experience for keepsake. 10/10 would recommend.
Good to know
Getting there: The meeting point is 1 Railway Ave, Lavender Bay — a short walk from Milsons Point train station. Look for the Sydney Kayak Tours setup with kayaks on the shore.
What to wear: Comfortable activewear you don't mind getting slightly splashed. Bring a light jacket for before launch and a change of clothes for afterwards.
Best time of year: Sydney Harbour is stunning year-round, but autumn and winter sunrises (April–August) deliver the most dramatic golden skies with fewer crowds on the water. Photography tip: Your guide captures complimentary high-res photos and videos from the water, so leave your phone in the dry bag and stay in the moment. All images are sent to you after the tour.
Fitness level: No kayaking experience needed. The tour uses stable tandem kayaks on calm, sheltered water with no ferry-lane crossings. If you can sit comfortably for 90 minutes, you’ll be fine. Group size: Maximum five tandem kayaks (ten guests), so you’ll never feel like you’re in a crowded tour fleet. Your guide has time for everyone.-
