The performance traces the history of Bayu, unfolding the thousand-year changes of the mountain city in eight acts. Actors move among the tables, interacting with guests at close range. Guests can participate in fun segments like traditional weddings and dock shanties, becoming part of the story. The show incorporates intangible cultural heritage techniques such as Sichuan River shanties and Tujia hand-waving dances, complemented by 3D holographic stage design and surround sound, recreating the bustling street life and cultural charm of old Chongqing amidst a play of light and shadow.
