What To Expect

After being picked up from Melbourne, your first stop on this Aussie adventure will be the city’s most colourful attraction – the iconic Brighton Beach bathing boxes where you'll visit the beach and take some time to admire these historic landmarks. Then you visit Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Park. Here you'll have the chance to hand-feed kangaroos, emus and other animals and learn about these species. One of the highlights of this tour is the variety of activities to enjoy. The best is served last, as the sun begins to set and the sky darkens, the cute little penguins begin heading home after a day out fishing at sea; waddling back to shore forms the famous penguin parade. You'll head back to Melbourne after your day of exciting moments, and with WiFi on board you'll easily be able to share the memories with friends!

Nice trip and must go sight in MEL

We had a really good guide (Keth/Kath?) who was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing with us the background and history of sites that we visited. We had a quick phototime at the bathhuts at Brighton Beach, a really enjoyable time interacting with free running animals in the sanctuary (kangaroos & wallabie are the cutest!), and a really good experience watching the cute little penguins return home from the sea. you have to get the PLUS seats to get a close up view of the penguins, the regular seats are probably far from satisfactory. it was enjoyable, highly recommended. thanks GOWEST and KATH!

The trip was worth it! Gowest tours have really friendly guides. Look out for Gowest Tour logo printed on the mini-bus while you wait at the pick-up site. You begin the trip with the guide introducing various CBD areas while he make his round to pick up the guests. This is followed by a short 15-min Brighton Beachbox stopover, and then an approximate 1.5h stopover at Moonlit Sanctuary. The highlight was of course the Penguin Parade, which the guide shared a lot prior to the parade. Highly recommended!

it is a very nice tour in general. We didnt have enough time to walk around the island since we needed to be at penguin parade on time. the dirving guider is very informative and nice.

Really enjoy the photo taking time at bathing boxes. But a bit too short and almost everyone has to rush back. We get to feed the kangaroos and even touch them at the moonlit sanctuary. Lucky us the koala is awake. As for Philip island, it is really cool to know how the penguins get up from the sea and how they line up back to their home. We bought the general viewing ticket which can't see much. Would recommend people to buy the more expensive one as there are more penguins there.

Great experience of knowing more about Melbourne. The whole tour is enjoyable.

The experience at Moonlit Sanctuary was amazing. We got to handfeed kangaroos, wallabies, and the various species of birds. Weather is perfect. There were not as many penguins as we expect at the phillip island but it was still an unforgettable experience. Penguins came out from the sea at around 545pm. Our tour guide was Michelle from Go West Tour, she's awesome, friendly, humorous, energetic and knowledgeable!
