What To Expect

After being picked up from Melbourne, your first stop on this Aussie adventure will be the city’s most colourful attraction – the iconic Brighton Beach bathing boxes where you'll visit the beach and take some time to admire these historic landmarks. Then you visit Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Park. Here you'll have the chance to hand-feed kangaroos, emus and other animals and learn about these species. One of the highlights of this tour is the variety of activities to enjoy. The best is served last, as the sun begins to set and the sky darkens, the cute little penguins begin heading home after a day out fishing at sea; waddling back to shore forms the famous penguin parade. You'll head back to Melbourne after your day of exciting moments, and with WiFi on board you'll easily be able to share the memories with friends!

Love the itinerary. Managed to see the wallabies and koalas in moonlit sanctuary and a stunning view at cape woolamai. The highlight was of course the penguin parade. So glad we signed up for penguin parade. And Bec the tour guide/driver was enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the experience!

Loved the moonlight animal sanctuary & service of Go West Tours. Managed to help us upgrade during the bus ride to the newer sheltered underground viewing area — highly recommended for a warm & awesome viewing experience as you watch the penguins waddle past! Although I think it should be fine to film/photograph the precious experience on mobile phones as long as flash or any light sensor is switched off.

Pickup was delayed due to traffic. The tour guide then cut our time at Brighton beach boxes to 15 minutes only, which is ridiculously little given the 80 boxes which stretches across the whole beach. He then gave us 30 minutes for a surfing beach in Phillip Island, which had nothing but a scorching hot beach with a few surfers. Everyone just sat in the shade waiting for time to pass. Planning can definitely be done better for the tour. The only saving grace of this tour is the Penguin Parade. The tour group left later than most other tour groups, allowing us to see more penguins heading home.

Quite a nice tour. Love Brighton Beach Boxes, a great place to take photos. Enjoyed the time in Moonlit Sanctuary, where you got chances to be really close to many AUSSIE animals. A bit disappointed to the penguins parade. I only bought the package with general viewing, and there were too many tourists but far too less working staff (called Rangers) to control the whole situation. Many tourists just kept talking loud & tried to take photos of the penguins, which is prohibited during the parade. So I highly recommend all really want to enjoy the show to buy the Plus package, so you can go to a much quieter area to watch the penguins. And one more tip is to bring with your thick coat! It was freezingly cold there!

it was a long drive but with two stops along the way breaks the journey. The viewing at the wild life santuary was interesting as we were able to feed the friendly Wallabies; a walk around and have snacks. The next stop was at beach - Woolamai. The drive towards the penguin santuary - the scenic view of the sea was breath taking. Waiting for the sun to set and for the penguins' arrival was shortened as the seagulls were entertaining us. They too were waiting for the arrival of the penguins! It was an anxious moment when the VIPs swam towards shore. Go experience the moment and capture the once a life time the wonders of nature 😊

Good tour with lots of stops and things to see. For Philip Island --- please go with the Penguin Plus option to guarantee seeing a lot of them come up the beach

Booking through Klook was easy and confirmation was promptly received. Tour was operated by go west tour company. Nice pace without feeling too rushed. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The extra cost for penguin plus was worth it, as we could see the penguins closer compared to the general viewing.

There are quite a lot of tourist spots for this one day tour, it is a bit rush for the first spot which is the Brighton beaches (20 mins) but enough to walk around and take photos! The tour guide is nice with explanation and penguin plus is very worth.
