Fantastic 5.0

The pickup guide was very humorous and chatty. The geothermal tour was an hour long, and it was easy and interesting to follow the map on our own. The mangrove forest was interesting, and we finished it in half an hour by walking quickly. The tour bus had people from different groups, and we made several stops at various destinations along the way, which made the itinerary feel a bit rushed. Overall, it was still worth participating.

A 12-seater van arrived, but I was the last pickup, so only the very back seat was left. (Our accommodation is Ibis) The space in front was narrower than the other seats, so my knees and legs hurt the whole ride. I paid the same amount as everyone else, but I was the only one who had to endure the discomfort. The pickup order was not determined by me. The guide was very good. They provided snacks and bottled water and played upbeat music. The round trip to Wai-O-Tapu is 7 hours, but the actual sightseeing time is about 4 hours, so the time efficiency is low. Nevertheless, it's a difficult place to get to individually without a rental car, so this tour was useful. The cost is by no means cheap, but it was nice to see the beautiful hot springs and forest. If you are considering it, I recommend it.
