What to expect
Commence your adventure with a hotel pickup in Auckland, travelling through scenic New Zealand countryside to the world-famous Waitomo region in a small group. Descend into the enchanting Waitomo Glowworm Caves, where thousands of glowworms light up the cavern ceiling like a starry night sky. Enjoy a silent boat ride along the underground river while your guide shares insights into the glowworms and cave history (approx. 45 mins). Stop for lunch at a local eatery (own expense), then visit the Otorohanga Kiwi House to see native birdlife, including the kiwi. Continue to the crystal-clear Blue Springs for a peaceful walk before returning to Auckland, reflecting on a day of caves, wildlife, and natural beauty.

We were shown around by our tour guide, Huzefa. I was a little worried about the small group tour because I didn't understand much English, but he guided us around very carefully. Even when I didn't understand something, he told me "Don't worry" and I felt very relieved. The tour was very fulfilling and fun. I was so impressed to see the kiwis and glow worms that were our objective! It was a wonderful memory. It will be a memory that I will cherish forever. Thank you very much.
Due to insufficient participants for the Kiwi House tour, it was changed to a caves-only visit. The driver was very friendly and attentive to the elderly, and also offered travel advice for those visiting other parts of New Zealand. This tour visits two caves. In the first cave, we took a small boat, and the number of glowworms was incredibly abundant and spectacular. The guide's photography skills were excellent, capturing great photos even in the dark cave. The second cave had fewer glowworms and focused mainly on viewing stalactites.
