What to expect
08:30 Apollo Square at the train station (specific location as notified by the tour guide). The tour will pass by May 1st Square to pick up other travelers, and then start the happy one-day tour in Changsha (the tour guide will contact you before 20:30 the day before the tour, please keep your mobile phone accessible. The time will be postponed during weekends, holidays, and peak tourist seasons, please understand).
08:30-10:30 Visit [Hunan Museum]—Exhibition of Han Dynasty Tombs at Mawangdui, Changsha (60 minutes of in-depth explanation + 30 minutes of free cultural experience. Closed on Mondays, will be changed to [Jian牘 Museum]). These are the tombs of Li Cang, Prime Minister of Changsha during the early Western Han Dynasty, and his family. 10:40-11:20 Visit [Du Zheng Street/Xian Zheng Street/Gao Zheng Street] (30 minutes of sightseeing).
11:20-12:30 Visit [Huo Gong Dian Temple]. Huo Gong Dian was originally a temple dedicated to the God of Fire, built in the 5th year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (before 1577 AD), with a history of more than 440 years. 12:30 -15:00 [Yuelu Mountain/Aiwan Pavilion] (about 120 minutes of sightseeing). Yuelu Mountain is the tail peak of the 72 peaks of Mount Heng in Southern Hengshan, with many historical sites and unique charm; Aiwan Pavilion, one of the four famous pavilions in China, is named after the famous poem "I stop my carriage to enjoy the maple trees at dusk, the frosted leaves are redder than February flowers". It is hidden in Qingfeng Gorge, with a gentle breeze and the sound of spring water.
15:00-17:30 Visit [Orange Isle] (Orange Isle sightseeing train is optional at your own expense: 40 yuan/person/round trip). Visit Orange Isle, located in the heart of the Xiangjiang River, the largest urban inland island in Asia, the resting place for young Mao Zedong when swimming in the Xiangjiang River, and the Orange Isle mentioned in [Qinyuanchun•Changsha].
18:00-18:30 After the tour, take the bus to [May 1st Square]. Tourists who need to visit May 1st Square will be dismissed on the spot for free activities, ending the pleasant journey!
