Reviews
Taking this day trip was totally worth it to see the Lake Suwa fireworks, even though it was a long journey and we spent a lot of time on the bus. This package also solved the problem of having to travel independently or find accommodation 👍🏽
Extremely convenient, and the tour guide was very patient, even handling unreasonable requests from group members calmly. The fireworks were incredibly beautiful, and the location was excellent. Thank you.
An amazing experience! The fireworks were absolutely beautiful.
It was a fantastic trip, and I took so many beautiful photos.
I live in Shinjuku and this is my first trip to Japan. Doubao suggested I book a tour through Klook and recommended the Keio Plaza Hotel, which is only a 5-minute walk from the bus departure point. I could see the bus waiting on the side of the road. Here's the problem: when I approached the first tour group to ask a question, they spoke to me in Japanese (only after getting on the bus did they say the Chinese-speaking guide was on board). What the heck? Didn't I just ask her where to check in, and she spoke Japanese? How is this a Chinese-speaking guide? I'm giving it two stars for value because it included admission to the venue, specifically the special spectator seating. The location wasn't bad, and the view was quite good. That's the only positive. Now for the main point: this is my first time traveling to Japan, and I thought the destination was far, so we'd get back to the pickup point very late at night. But that's not the case, folks. The fireworks ended at 8:45 PM, and we were on the bus by 9:30 PM. If we drove normally, we could have been back in Shinjuku by 1:00 AM. Why did we have to arrive in Shinjuku at 4:30 AM? It's because they had to wait for the Japanese passengers on the same bus to be able to take the subway or bullet train at 4:30 AM. Even if the entire bus was full of Chinese people, we still had to wait until 4:30 AM to arrive in Shinjuku (I'd rather pay extra for a taxi back to Shinjuku than sleep on the bus). This tour group could have dropped off the Shinjuku passengers first, letting those who wanted to sleep on the bus do so. It's not that we could have returned early; we had to wait for the Japanese passengers, which dragged it out until 4:30 AM. Next time, Klook should clearly explain the itinerary and why we have to arrive in Shinjuku at 4:30 AM. Folks, next time, read carefully before booking. I haven't slept on a bus in over ten years. It's so frustrating, and this is Japan. It's 2:27 AM, and I'm still on the bus. Why can't we get back to the hotel earlier? Because arriving in Shinjuku at 4:30 AM makes it convenient for Japanese people to take the subway and bullet train home. It's incredibly frustrating. If you want to feel like you're in jail, try this next time.
