Leshan Giant Buddha and Huanglongxi Ancient Town Full-Day Immersive Experience

The itinerary was well - arranged. In the morning, we visited the Leshan Giant Buddha, and in the afternoon, we explored Huanglongxi, an ancient water town with a history of thousands of years, to experience the local culture. I was quite satisfied with the day's journey. The tour bus was clean and hygienic. Although the tour guide spoke Chinese throughout the trip, I could still communicate smoothly through translation apps, so there was no language barrier for me. We had a great time. However, climbing the mountain really requires physical strength.

I chose to hike for the Leshan Giant Buddha – ideal for those with good stamina. Close-up views of its textures, cliff carvings, and the feel of looking up at the Buddha while down at the river are far more immersive than distant viewing. Guide Wang Tao was excellent! My Chinese is poor, but we communicated smoothly via a translation app, and he stayed attentive. In the afternoon at Huanglongxi, he even told me which shop had the best tofu pudding. I’d worried the tour bus would be old and cramped, but my fears vanished once I saw it. It was clean and of great standard – having taken many in Chengdu, this one stood out. No tiredness after the trip; my worries were needless. Note: On the way down, we passed a small commodity stall section. Not arranged by the agency, just a necessary exit route – a heads-up. I definitely recommend this tour! Guide Wang and the bus made it so much better – extremely smooth overall.

Chengdu, the Land of Abundance. A wonderful place that lives up to its name. The Leshan Giant Buddha has been smiling for thousands of years. Looking up from below, you'll be overwhelmed by its grandeur. It made me wonder what the ancient people were thinking when they created this Buddha. Huanglongxi Ancient Town was different from what I imagined; it was a place where children enjoyed playing in the water. Their splashing water made the heat somewhat milder.

even though the tour was in Chinese the guides put a lot of effort in keeping me up to date with everything!

The luxury bus was old and many seats were broken. The text on the webpage said that it was a pure play guarantee, but when we left the scenic area in the hot afternoon, the sun was scorching and we didn't go to the dining area. We were taken to a jade shop, which was said to be a tourist attraction but was actually a shopping stop. The website said the gathering time was 7:30, but in fact it was not only an hour earlier. We only started contacting them in the evening of the day before, and then the meeting was postponed as agreed. A one-day tour requires contacting four people, and the multiple issues of insurance, driver, and tour guide make it very confusing.
