2D1N Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Hang Mua, Bai Dinh, Trang An Tour from Hanoi

Booking in klook is seamless. The travel agent is Cozy Travel. Hotel is Tam Coc Central Bungalow. The hotel transfer on day 1 and day 2 were unpleasant as they put us in taxi and asked to wait for the bus in the middle of nowhere. The tour operator could have been more organized. They combined the day trip participants with the 2D1N participants without proper preparation. I needed to explain to the tour guide on our trip package and contacted the next-day tour guide to arrange the transfer from hotel by myself. Hotel ammenities are basic, so not for fussy travellers, location is right next to the excursion river - which is beautiful.

A two-day, one-night trip is definitely more worth it, especially with the hotel having a swimming pool! Highly recommended. Walking around town and getting a massage at night is also great, highly recommend staying overnight. If you have free time at night, you can take a Grab to the ancient town, unfortunately I didn't get to go this time.

Spending time (multiple days) in Ninh Binh is a must, truly loved our time and enjoyed most sites, albeit we felt Bai Dinh could have been left out. Communication from the provider was good, however we would have preferred notification earlier how the 2D1N trip would operate, joining 2x seperate 1 day trips from Hanoi. Our guide on the first day was excellent, however we were disappointed with our guide to Trang An on the 2nd day. Didn’t introduce himself once we joined the group tour in Ninh Binh, and was quite rude to my wife after a mix up with our hotel drop off, only after I was rudely dismissed trying to confirm prior to arrival in Hanoi. The accommodation was lovely at Tam Coc Little Charm, however the staff were not so welcoming and it seemed we were a hindrance being there. Most people on both days noted the buffet food for lunch as poor. Ninh Binh is a must, while there were some issues using this provider, overall it didn’t distract from the amazing beauty of Ninh Binh

We booked a 22-seater luxury bus, but a regular bus arrived. After we complained, they switched us to a smaller, narrower minibus just before arriving in Ninh Binh. Only on the second day did we get the luxury bus back.
