We absolutely loved it! We went as a family, and it was so engaging and fun! The kids were thrilled, and my husband and I were too! I'd like to give a special shout-out to the wonderful female hosts; they were fantastic, pleasant, and had a great sense of humor! Thank you and good luck!
What an awesome experience! Before booking, I was a little worried it might tourist trappy, but it was a genuinely educational and fun experience. Seina and Pari were so friendly, and the manager was lovely as well! They even prepared a small birthday board when I mentioned I was there for my birthday. We booked the adult only 19:00 session, and it ended up being just us in a private session. I had always wanted to learn more about how mochi is made and to pound it myself, and this experience truly delivered. I enjoyed it so much! If you’re not sure whether to book or not - just do it!
Just did the mochi-making workshop and omg, it was so much fun! The staff were super sweet, patient, and always smiling – they made everyone feel so welcome and relaxed right from the start. Even if you’re a total beginner (like me), they cheer you on the whole time. They kicked things off with a quick little chat about the history of mochi, which was really interesting and gave the whole experience that extra special feel. They kept offering to snap photos and videos for us at every step – pounding the mochi, shaping it etc. I didn’t even have to ask. Lastly, we got to dip the mochi we made in all different sauces and toppings. Honestly, it’s such a fun, hands-on way to experience a bit of Japanese culture. Perfect for friends, family, couples, or even just by yourself. I can’t recommend it enough – go do it! 🍡❤️
The mochi pounding experience was enjoyable and informative. I learned about the history of mochi and the traditional method of making it, which made the activity more meaningful. The highlight of the experience was the mochi tasting session, where I had the chance to try different toppings. It was especially enjoyable as a solo traveller, as the activity was well-organised and easy to participate in. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience.
It is located near a peaceful river, creating a nice and quiet environment. The setting is very relaxing and perfect for an enriching experience. The staff there were incredibly friendly, encouraging, and professional. They were well-prepared, and the flow of the activities was thoughtfully designed, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I learned a lot about mochi and gained a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture and beauty through this activity. The staff also kindly helped us take some great photos, capturing the memories perfectly. Overall, a wonderful experience! Thank you.
Rina, Mao, and Runa were the best instructors! It was an educational and fun experience. Our session was full with 8 people, so everyone gets adequate time to pound the mochi and have their pictures taken. Each person gets to practice rolling their own mochi balls, enough to make/eat about 10. I really appreciate each of the instructors energy and sense of humor. Huge highlight of my trip to Japan. Highly recommend if you'll be in or near Osaka.
The 1 hour session was really worth the time and money! We learnt about history of Japan, food, got our hands sticky from mochi balls, photos and lots of fun and laughter. The team of ladies (Lena, Luna, Izumi and another lady sorry I forgot your name) were exceptional in their effort to present in spoke in English. Kudos 👏 I would definitely recommend this class to anyone visiting Dontonburi! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great experience, very well explained and well-paced. We had a great time, the tasting was excellent, I highly recommend this experience in Osaka.
Highly recommended! Cheerful and helpful staff, very friendly. We get to make the mochi from the cooked mochi rice, then eat the mochi. It is almost insane how it can all be completed in only an hour. It was fun. Anyone who come to Osaka and likes mochi should try this.
absolutely amazing class very informative and very filling to eat. would recommend the experience to all people young and old.
