I loved the experience I had with Damitrans. The staff in Hanoi were helpful and guided me to my cabin. I room and bed was spacious enough for me. They also offered free water and snacks. There is a charging port in each bed. I prefer travelling by train than bus as you have access to the toilet whenever you needed. We arrived in Sapa at around 6:00am. seat reservation process: confirmation was faster than Chapa Express redemption guide: efficient pass area coverage: scenic views
We arrived 2 hours earlier than scheduled time. The station master was kind to offer a room for luggage storage while we move around the town exploring. The restaurant opposite the train station was convenient where we can hear the announcement made by train station on our schedule train for boarding. Boarding was easy and led by the train master. Staffs were helpful to lead you the cabin and we got settled in real quick. There were Lays chips, mineral water bottles, wet tissues in our cabin. Cabins were clean and cold. There’s pillow and blanket. Luggages can be stowed under the beds. Cabin was comfortable and roomy for the 4 of us. We are a family with 2 kids. Charging ports are available in the cabin. Hot and cold water dispenser are available near toilet area. And the highlight was we pass by the Hanoi train street where the onlookers watch us pass by. Overall it was a great, enjoyable and exciting experience !
The sleeper train was such a fun experience. The engine is quite loud so this may be an issue for light sleepers and portions of the ride are also a bit bumpy so this may be an issue with those who have road sickness but otherwise the facilities on board like the Beda and bathrooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Also, the views throughput the ride were really nice and this provides a unique experience.
Great experience! You need to get your ticket at their booth on 2nd floor of Hanoi train station. The booth will only be set-up literally around 20-30mins before the train departures time, so don’t panic if you don’t see their booth when arriving early. Free waiting space is available on the further left side of the station 1st floor, and on 2nd floor. There are also luggage lockers. Train departs on time and they gave snacks and water in the cabin. The bed on the 4 bedders cabin was more on the hard side. Couldn’t really sleep throughout the journey, but it was a good experience. Toilet was quite small and not the best, but doable.
Had a smooth and restful journey with the Hanoi–Sapa Deluxe Sleeper Train by Damitrans Express. The host messaged me in advance with clear instructions, making the check-in process super easy. The cabin was clean, cozy, and air-conditioned, with soft beds and dim lighting—perfect for a good night’s sleep. I appreciated the bottled water and friendly service throughout. We arrived on time, and I woke up refreshed and ready to explore Sapa. Great value for the price—highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and stress-free overnight trip!
The train experience was great, I fell completely asleep because I was so tired /// It was very convenient to book [Attraction Name] through Klook this time. I could enter directly by showing the QR code without queuing to buy tickets on the spot. The [Weather/Crowd Conditions] that day, [Attraction Features/Highlights] were really great. I recommend [Going Early/Going on Weekdays/Allowing Enough Time]. Klook's price is also cheaper than buying on-site, so it has a high CP value! Taking the night train to Lao Cai is a total vibe, but here’s the real talk: it’s best booked as a "sleeper" experience to save time, just don’t expect a perfect night's rest. While the train starts off smooth, it tends to pick up speed and get a bit jolty later on, which can definitely wake you up if you’re a light sleeper. That said, the setup is surprisingly cozy! The beddings are solid, and they give you these clean, weighted comforters that feel high-quality. They also hook you up with snacks like bananas, chips, and water to keep you going. If you have the choice, grab the lower bed. It’s much easier to manage your gear and get in and out. For a first-timer, it honestly feels like stepping into a scene from Harry Potter. There’s something very Hogwarts Express about the wood paneling and cozy cabins.

Best decision we’ve made in vietnam is booking a sleeper train from sapa to hanoi. So comfy ride that we didnt even felt that it took 9 hrs for the train to reach hanoi. We were able to sleep comfortably.
