Reviews
The "KL Street Food Tour" experience is terrible – “over priced and not worth it!” I will never recommend this to my friends... THIS IS “NOT” A MALAYSIAN “STREET FOOD” TOUR! Poorly arranged! Since we have 3 bookings, it would have been better if one tour guide is assigned to each group. we have 3 bookings (1st group 3+1pax / 2nd group 5pax /3rd group 6pax, TOTAL of 15pax), and the tour guide is not aware that there are 3 groups. I would suggest that Klook put an itinerary (A checklist) of the restaurant, food choices so we know what we are paying for and where we will be going to eat to set expectations. Just imagine how much we paid for this tour with ! WE WERE EXPECTING something to similar to this kind of experience by a reviewer, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, WE DID NOT! - “hole-in-the-wall spots where you can get really tasty Malaysian food. We tasted fruits like rambutan, jackfruit, and rose apple, some steamed barbecued pork buns, and boy! Those buns were just soft, fluffy and delectable! We ate vada, dosa, poori, masala vada, shrimp and radish fritters, muah chee, laksa, asam laksa, and chee chong fun, sugar cane juice. The eating time was spaced out pretty well, Our tummy had some time to recover before the next batch of eating commenced.”
Thank you for choosing Klook and for taking the time to leave us a review. We're sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience with how the tour was provided. We will coordinate with the operator to provide this feedback for us to improve the services that we provide to customers. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you!
It was not a good experience. The meet up place was not convenient and it was hard to find. I was expecting to try lot of street food.. a little of this and that but we ended up visiting two restaurants only. They didn’t serve the best food in town. Not recommended!
This was the tour that my husband and I were really looking forward to during our recent trip to Malaysia. We love good food. Good thing our guide Danny was a fount of knowledge. We met him at the Pasar Seni LRT Station, and the tour ended at the Kuala Lumpur Central Market. It felt like a private tour with a private guide because it was just the three of us roaming around KL streets. Danny brought us to hole-in-the-wall spots where you can get really tasty Malaysian food. He had a hand sanitizer and tissue on hand every time we ate (a plus for me!). He was very considerate of my lactose intolerance. We tasted fruits like rambutan, jackfruit and rose apple (surprisingly no durian, but that’s alright). Danny promised us some steamed barbecued pork buns, and boy! Those buns were just soft, fluffy and delectable! We ate vada, dosa, poori, masala vada, shrimp and radish fritters, muah chee, laksa, asam laksa, and chee chong fun. My husband and I even tried some sugar cane juice. The eating time was spaced out pretty well, so we weren't going from one place to another eating like Pac-Man. Our tummy had some time to recover before the next batch of eating commenced. Overall, I highly recommend this street food tour led by Danny because it happily lived up to our delicious expectations.
