Reviews
We would like to commend our tour guide, Mel (apologies if we have her name wrong), who led the Autopia Pinnacles tour on 7 July 2026. She was professional, knowledgeable, and exceptionally well organised. Not only did she safely drive the group for the 2–3-hour journey each way, but she also prepared a delicious picnic dinner, set up the telescope for stargazing, and shared an engaging introduction to astronomy while we admired the spectacular night sky. We also appreciated her warm hospitality and the personal recommendations she shared about places to visit in Perth. That said, at almost AUD 190 per person, the tour is relatively expensive, with the stargazing experience at the Pinnacles being the main highlight. Sadly, there wasn’t much to see at Guilderton and Nilgen Lookout, it was more of a rest stop for guests and driver. We also felt that a hot or warm meal would have been more suitable than a cold picnic dinner, particularly during winter.
itinerary: 10/10 — enjoyed it up until the very end. everything was clearly briefed and timing was well kept. • attractions on the way: 9/10— visited a number of beautiful beaches, it would’ve been perfect if there were some engaging activities in between on our way to the Pinnacles. nevertheless, views were breathtaking and enjoyable! • group size: 9/10 — there were roughly 26 people during the tour, it was an ideal group size for me, though we did have to squeeze in between our seats • guide: 10/10 — our guide was hardworking, friendly and sweet! she kept the energy consistent and was also inclusive in terms of providing vegetarian / halal meals for muslim tourists! also shared alot of her knowledge on the beaches and deserts we visited!
one of the best tours i took in WA. I enjoyed the Pinnacle and stargazing as the highlight of the tour. I highly recommend you taking this tour! 😉 attractions on the way: breath taking views of indian ocean itinerary: could skip the place where it looks a barren area due to bush fire guide: very knowledgeable about what’s up there in the sky.
our guide Erin was a great guide and highly knowledgeable about the land, history of the region along with a expert astronomy guide. and the picnic spread and telescope was well organized. I would recommend this tour for anyone keen on a outdoor desert tour with a stargazing finale.
This day tour covered three major highlights: Moore River, the Pinnacles Desert, and stargazing. Although we encountered cloudy skies and drizzle, the spectacular, riddle-like landscape of the Pinnacles was still absolutely breathtaking. Having an outdoor picnic in the evening was a very unique experience. I’m also incredibly grateful to our professional tour guide, who enthusiastically shared her knowledge of astronomy despite the overcast weather. We had initially decided to head back early due to the poor weather. To our surprise, less than an hour into the drive, the guide noticed the clouds breaking up and pulled over immediately. The moment we stepped out and looked up, the starry sky miraculously revealed itself. It was a deeply stunning and moving moment that brought our journey to a perfect conclusion.
Our tour guide was incredibly enthusiastic, and I truly believe this tour is a must-do when visiting Perth. Not only do you get to see the Pinnacles at sunset, but the main highlight, the absolute main highlight, is seeing the Milky Way! The area is dark enough, and the weather was perfect. Even though it was a full moon, there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. After dark, the stars started to appear, and there were so many that I couldn't resist lying on the ground to experience being surrounded by them. If you want to photograph the Milky Way, you definitely need to bring a tripod! 😉
We were joining Pinnacles Sunset Stargazing tour on 19/7/2026. We enjoyed peaceful of Moore River Estuary, Lancelin lookout, awesome Pinnacles sunset and stargazing view. Besides, delicious outdoor picnic dinner was unique experience! Thumbs up! Our tour guide Ms Analis was professional, knowledgeable and well organised everything during the tour. Love her great service!
We had an absolutely great time on this trip! Our guide, Fred, made it a really fun drive for our group, and he's very knowledgeable and eloquent in sharing facts and trivia about the land, the country, and the sites we visited. All the spots we visited were absolutely beautiful, and we were able to experience sea, sun, sand, and sky all in one day. The dinner and stargazing portion was my favorite part, as Fred even took the time to point out the various constellations and shared stories about each, as well.
Wonderful tour! Spectacular view of Lancelin with its turqoise water and refreshing breeze. Pinnacles desert is out of this world with a beautiful sunset. Emma of course is just superb! This amazing lady did not just drove us; she was our guide, the historian, the one who prepared our dinner, set up the telescope and gave us an astronomical stargazing experience. It was an absolutely fantastic tour. Highly recommended and do ask for Emma!

I give it a resounding five-star rating and can't wait to embark on another tour with this company in the future.
