What to expect
With soaring sea cliffs and monumental rock formations, the Tasman National Park is a coastal wonderland. Here the waters of the Tasman Sea collide with the towering ancient cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula, creating dramatic caves and arches, ending spectacularly at Cape Raoul, its dolerite columns like steps down into the ocean waters
The Tasman National Park lies close to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Port Arthur Historic Site, where the formidable coastal terrain added to the feared reputation of the brutal penal colony. Today this historic location stands as one of Australia’s premier attractions, offering a gateway to the region’s natural beauty

Reviews
The ride duration was perfect for us to cruise around the coast. The weather was perfect to look around Cape Raoul as well as the seals and dolphins in the sea. The crew on board were experienced as guides and friendly to talk around with guests and help with pictures. Highly Recommended for Port Arthur day trip.
The staff and captain on the boat were very friendly. They would remind everyone of safety and introduce the attractions at any time. They would also stop for us to see the seals and the people who were climbing.
Great cruise to the cape Raoul. Deoarrts from the bay at Port Arthur historical site and lasts for about 90 min, which was perfect time for us as 3 hours would be way to much. Saw seals and met few trauler boats. good and funny guide/caltain. we’ve booked the morning cruise and spent the rest of the day walking around Port Arthur
We found the boat and there were no problems during the process. The tour guide was a humorous person and it was interesting to listen to him introduce the attractions. We also saw dolphins and sea lions, which was worth the trip.
Guides are professional and friendly. Thank you for giving such amazing experience. The Cape Raoul is a-must-see for sure but the seals and dolphins are like extras that fulfilled my heart. Also this package is perfect for my day plan, it took not more than 2 hrs so I still have time to walk in the historic site before going home.
very good cruise at Cape Raoul, very beautiful place
Friendly captain and staff. We were lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful day out in the sea, saw so many dolphins and seals; stunning scenery, definitely a must try
You need to buy admission tickets in addition to the boat tickets to board. This important detail should be in the title; otherwise, it's easily missed. For two adults and two children, the boat tickets were NT$9,000 and the admission tickets were NT$2,500, totaling NT$11,500 for a 1.5-hour ride. I found it a bit underwhelming and not worth the price. On August 14, 2025, we only saw seals, no dolphins or other animals, so be prepared for that when you book. The scenery was spectacular, and the captain was diligent. The boat was large and stable, which was a plus. A three-hour cruise costs about the same but probably goes further out to sea! I took the 1.5-hour tour, so we probably didn't go out far enough to spot dolphins.
Truly awesome experience! Captain and staff were really friendly. The natural sights were breathtaking and we were very lucky to see seals, albatross and humpback whales. Truly enjoyable experience.
prepare for the big wave during the trip. but very nice view and really worth to visit.
