Had a wonderful day out with our guide Jorge and driver Ejima. Jorge was funny, witty and inter verse between English and Spanish. He was able to manage timing, the pace and provided a lot of tips, culture facts during the coach ride as well. Though the weather was wet and foggy, we still had a lot of fun. Food recommendation was good, and overall, this is a very recommended tour out of Tokyo.
This tour is spectacular. If you come to Tokyo, you absolutely must set aside a day for this tour. The guide is incredible, alternating between Spanish and English, which makes it very dynamic, the best I've ever seen! We are leaving very happy with this experience, 100% recommended. Everyone should do this tour. Thank you for this amazing day!
This tour was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone. Our guide, Naomi, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience—nothing was too much trouble for her. The views were breathtaking, and the entire team was incredibly attentive to every detail.
Fran from Amigo Tours was a very personable and helpful guide. The day felt well-organized and we learned a lot of Japanese history that we otherwise would have missed out on. It was also great to no worry about public transportation and to leave our belongings on the bus between activities. Highly reccomend this tour!
The tour guide, Jorge, is friendly, accomodating, funny, very helpful, and hands on. Learned so much on Japan culture and history. The tour is chill with little hikes. Time is enough to roam around. We are lucky that roads are not closed and there are still snow.
This was an amazing tour and a great value for the money. Naomi was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information along the way. She also seamlessly delivered all information in English and Spanish as well as talked to the driver in Japanese. The driver Kitagawa did a great job making sure everyone got where they needed to go safe and sound. I would recommend this tour!
Doing Nikko on your own is possible, but taking a tour was the best decision we made. They tell you the history, you don't struggle with logistics, they kept an eye on the group because there are always those who are late, you can ask questions, and they give you recommendations.
We've taken 3 excursions through Klook, and on one of them, we were even forced to leave a positive review and take a photo proving we did it. In this case, I'm giving it 5 stars, and if I could, I'd give it 10. Jorge was a splendid guide; he speaks 5 languages. On top of that, he came around to each of us on the bus to talk about whatever we wanted. It was something I'd never seen before. In our case, we talked to him a bit about his life and the history of this temple. It's one of the most positive experiences I've ever had. Putting aside how great the guide is, Nikko is amazing, both the waterfall area and the temple. So far, it's the best I've seen in Japan.
My friend and I just finished our tour with our driver Mr. Nakano and our tour guide George/Jorge. We completed the trip on a Saturday advise booking on a weekday. If you have an option to get the temple tickets through the tour, DO IT! The lines were so long to purchase tickets. Our bus with Mr. Nakano and George stayed on time, but we did have traffic and many tour groups. The driving was excellent and he kept a very tidy bus. George communicated well and there was time to rest and for each of us to ask him our questions. If we needed to have a change of plans for the trip due to the traffic, all the passengers had to verbally agree before we made the change. So although our group worked backwards with seeing everything on the tour. I liked it better. The drive to the lake up and down was a lot of hairpin turns. George shares information before we get out of the sites we see and uses the time to get to know each of us. Great tour guide & tour. Bring cash and check in early.
a great hassle free experience. This is the trip you take if you want to see Nikko in all its nature filled glory. Beru the guide was fluent in both English and Spanish. He provided excellent commentary throughout the journey and made sure there was enough time to see the best attraction at every stop. The driver Waku was very professional and got us to our destinations on time and without issue. Do this trip on the weekdays as this allows potential for no traffic on the roads.
