What to expect
Admire the stone carvings of Feilai Peak and listen to your guide explain Buddhist stories!
The autumn at Lingyin Temple brings ancient temple Zen, golden ginkgo, and colorful maple leaves. The branches are reflected on the yellow walls of the temple, bathed in the autumn sun, creating dappled light and shadows. Incense curls in front of the main hall, and the light is dazzling, creating a unique Zen charm. The light entering the hall through the windows casts stripes and spots on the stone bricks on the ground.
Lingyin Temple is the earliest ancient temple with a thousand-year history in Hangzhou. It is backed by North Peak and faces the uniquely beautiful Feilai Peak, enjoying a quiet serenity in the bustling city.
The thousand-year incense of Lingyin Temple is ignited by the practice and guardianship of generations of monks. They are both the eminent monks of history and the tranquil figures between the morning bells and evening drums of the present.
