very nice experience with excellent guide/chef, Tu. i preferred to cycle than go to the markets so we went all over hoi an to cycle for 3.5 hours. the cooking class was also great and intimate. food was very delicious
Enjoyed the experience overall. Hotel pickup and drop off was very convenient. Bike ride to market was good but could use a water stop along the way. A bit more explanation of the vegetables in the garden would have been helpful but the cooking experience was fun, informative and tasty. Would recommend for those who like cooking but don't have a lot of knowledge of Asian cuisines.
This is a great half day tour and cooking class (4 hours). The guide/chef picks you up from your hotel and you ride the bike to the local market where you get a personal tour of the food market. You continue with the bike through local streets and rice fields until you reach the vegetable village. It is an easy ride for all ages. The cooking class is relaxed and the chef is there at all steps to help. My 9 year old daughter and I cooked four dishes altogether. After the cooking class and very full bellies, we all rode the bikes back into town and to our hotel. It is an easy and stress free tour.
