Sea Lion Day Cruise: Ha Long Bay, Sung Sot, Ti Top

Our 1-day cruise with Sea Lion was an absolutely wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly organised, and the activities flowed seamlessly. We had an amazing time. Our tour guide, Max, was exceptional—polite, kind, and attentive. He ensured everyone was well-informed about the itinerary and shared interesting historical insights about each place we visited. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi!

The bus picked us up on time; it was clean and has comfortable seats. The itinerary was not followed as is but I think it was decided by the guides so as to save time; there are a lot of people considering we went on a Thursday. The cruise was okay - corteous staff and wide range of food on the lunch buffet. The guide, Tony, has very good English communication skills. My partner and I had the best time!

the cruise was perfect .. everything was more than expected this is a 5 - star cruise and it deserves to be .. I recommend sea lion cruise ... Guide mr James was wonderful always smiling and trying his best to organize the gatherings and the tour overall .. Food buffet was also amazing with lots of varieties .

It was great experience with Sea Lion cruise. Vegetarian options were also there in the lunch menu. Super friendly staff. And How can I forget our tour guide Mr. Thanh, super amazing and funny person. He picked us from our hotel and throughout the journey he was there to support. During our bus journey to halong, he explained about the Vietnamese culture. I recommend this to everyone who is planning Ha Long day tour.

Unfortunately, I was picked up last, so I ended up sitting in the last row. I also didn’t appreciate the stop at a bamboo store selling what seemed like fake bamboo products—it didn’t appear to be part of the itinerary. On a positive note, the food was excellent—vegan and non-pork eater friendly. There are USB-A & USB-C ports for charging. Andy, our guide, was incredibly patient and kind. He left us with a touching farewell message: “I wish you success in your life.” Kudos to the driver as well! If you plan to tip them, it's best to do so on the bus rather than on the cruise to ensure they receive it directly. There are USB-A & USB-C ports for charging. There is pool but the water is cold. Note: Tour guides may advise against bringing bottled water, but it's best to bring your own (just keep it discreet) since cruise ship prices are steep.

Overall, our experience was exceptional. Just a day before our trip, our attentive tour guide reached out via WhatsApp to confirm our itinerary and provide helpful tips. The tour guide was incredibly kind and professional. The cruise ship itself was pristine and appeared to be brand new, which added to our enjoyment. We thoroughly relished this trip. A big thanks to Klook for such a memorable journey!

The overall trip/experience was good! The only catch is that I was asked to wait at the hotel at 8:10 and arrived at 8:45. But it might be too much for a minibus with 22 people to pick up each time! Let’s go to the pier first. The boat is as big as the photo, but it’s not very luxurious. Don’t expect too much from the lunch buffet. Drinks on the boat are expensive, but they don’t bring water bottles in Halong Bay. You can buy them at the scenic spot when you get off the boat, which is much cheaper! The first attraction has 800 steps of stairs, and the stalactite cave is sparkling. The second attraction is the boat ride, and we felt like we couldn't get a boat. We waited for 30 minutes on the shore and didn't get on it. I don't know if it was because the company didn't pay enough or because there were too many people. Too many. In the end, it would be perfect if there were more drinks at the sunset party, but if you don’t make money on drinks, there’s no other place to make money!

Itinerary: In the morning, a private car picked us up directly from the hotel entrance and took us to Ha Long City and Ha Long Bay Port. We boarded a cruise ship to Ha Long Bay. Lunch was a buffet on the cruise ship; the variety of ingredients was a bit limited but sufficient. Drinks were available for purchase. After lunch, we began a tour of three attractions with the guidance and introduction of the tour guide. After the tour, we returned to the cruise ship for a sunset party, which was very lively and fun. Finally, we returned to the port and took a private car directly back to our hotel in Hanoi.

Our group had very nice experience.. Being a vegetarian, we also enjoyed the food on the cruise. Our guide was also very friendly... we recommend this place and also the cruise .
