During the whole tour, our guide, Kento-san, was very and I mean VERY energetic and helpful. I don’t know how he got so much energy but it was really nice having him as our tour guide cause he always kept us entertained without being overbearing. Kamakura was a bit crowded but so beautiful as you can tell by the pictures. I think it’s so worth it - especially going on sunny days to really get those beautiful pictures ! Though I recommend bringing water with you and UV protection unbrella as it got really hot and only that could lessen the heat. The island itself was PACKED with tourists- really hard to get around. I liked the food but the rice crackers were not it for me- I really didn’t like it, it tasted too much like octopus to me but if you like fresh octopus you will probably like it. I loved how we were able to roam around - we got food spots and recommendations but in the end we were left to choose where we wanted to go. Defintely go with GoGoDay - they’re organised and amazing.
My family and I had the pleasure of being guided by Allan during one of the busiest times in Japan – Golden Week. Despite the crowds and hectic pace, Allan was absolutely fantastic. One thing we really love is Allan's energy was infectious. Allan managed every challenge with a smile and kept the group moving smoothly through packed stations, popular attractions, and tight schedules. It’s not easy handling the chaos of Golden Week, but Allan did it effortlessly. If you want a guide who knows Japan inside out and stays calm and cheerful under pressure, ask for Allan. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide Michael was very organised and knowledgeable on the history of each area. Kamakura was beautiful but Enoshima was definitely the highlight of the trip. We grabbed lunch, denim ice cream and pretty shell souvenirs. It was also really cool to see the iconic slam dunk location in person :)
It would have been better if it did not rain, but the view was very nice despite the heavy downpour. Thank you to tourguide Michael for your kindness, he so so sweet handing out chocolates to everyone!
We had a wonderful day trip to Kamakura and Enoshima with our guide. He was young, friendly, and spoke both English and Chinese, which made everything very easy. The tour was very well organized, and he was always punctual and easy to contact on WhatsApp. He showed us beautiful places in Kamakura, including a traditional temple, lovely sakura, and even a hidden pond. One special moment was taking a local train and stopping to take photos from the same view as a famous anime scene. We also visited the Great Buddha, then took the train to Enoshima and walked to the island. Everything was beautiful, and the information he shared was very useful. He was also always happy to answer our questions. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a beautiful, well-organized, and enjoyable tour.
The views along the way were beautiful even on a rainy and cloudy day that I went. Alex, our tour guide was very helpful, clear with instruction in both English and Chinese. Enoshima island was so beautiful, lots of different locations to take pictures and enjoy time.
Initially, we considered traveling independently, but later decided to sign up for a day tour, which was definitely the right choice. I highly recommend these types of day tours. Although the time spent at each location is limited, you can most effectively use your time to visit the highlights, greatly saving yourself the time of figuring out directions and waiting for transportation. Our tour guide, Allen, was great! He's very professional and experienced, planning everything well and providing a wealth of information. It was a very enjoyable day trip. All photos must be under 3MB. I won't upload any classic photos. However, the Line group that the tour guide added temporarily was very convenient and efficient, especially when taking a tour bus with tourists from various countries mixed with locals and traveling on the Enoden line in separate train cars, which was really exciting (tourists should pay attention and be aware of their disembarkation station, and can't just zone out because they're on a tour).
It was an honor to have Allan Tan lead us on this trip. He is very experienced, personally energetic, and great at creating a lively atmosphere. He shows his passion for his work in every detail of leading the group. He introduces the entire itinerary fluently in both Chinese and English, and explains in detail how to enjoy each attraction, what the costs will be, and recommends businesses, so that everyone can experience the best enjoyment without wasting time. He also gives everyone plenty of time to explore and take pictures at each attraction. He is also the only guide I have ever had who adds everyone to a group chat and shares places to visit at each attraction, as well as meeting times and locations. He also proactively calls on anyone who needs his help to contact him at any time. This is the most efficient way of leading a group that I have ever seen, and the information provided is very rich. He is always available for interaction, so you don't have to worry about falling behind or getting lost. I feel very lucky to have him as our guide, which made this trip very enjoyable and worthwhile. As the trip was coming to an end, he generously shared famous attractions where friends getting off in Shinjuku and Tokyo could go for pilgrimages, shopping, or enjoying food. For me, this was really a bonus. I have never met a guide who is so willing to share experiences outside of his responsibilities. Thank you, Allan, for giving us a very good experience. Compared to another tour I participated in today, the whole itinerary and the tour guide were very disappointing. I really wish it had been led by Allen. It would have been fun and unforgettable! Thank you again, Allan Tan, and I wish you all the best and great success. 🏆
My son and I loved this day trip! There was so much to see and enjoy. Our tour guide Alex was fantastic. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience a memorable one. Highly recommend.
The Kamakura trip experience was an absolute blast. I had Allan Tan as our tour guide and honestly his high energy and enthusiasm definitely made the tour way more fun than it should be. The tour, despite being packed and quite rush, was full of very interesting history of Japan and many photogenic spots. My favourite part was 100% the trip to Enoshima, it was a magical experience to walk through the whole island and go to the shrines in there to do some prayers. If I were to suggest any improvement, I hope that the trip can have more time for us to explore, other than that I had a wonderful experience!
