Asakusa Temple Kimono Rental & Photo Experience (Tokyo Kimono Rei Kaminarimon)

Location was easy to find. Staff was so friendly and english speaking. We upgraded our couples Kimono package seemlessly for more fancier Furisode to match our honeymoon time. The hair service I received was so beautiful. I felt comfortable and like I was working with true professionals. I took our own photos because I'm a professional photographer, so we didn't go with the photo add on. Also as we walked around Asakusa, we were asked by strangers to take photos with them because of how beautiful we looked! The return of the Kimono was quick too! I'd recommend this company to anyone asking!

The owner of this kimono shop is very responsible and enthusiastic. It's only a one-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple, so you don't have to walk much at all. Once you get to Senso-ji Temple, it's full of tourists trying on kimonos, so there's absolutely no pressure. The photographer also took us around a good portion of Senso-ji Temple, taking pictures for a little over an hour. We got a lot of photos. This shop doesn't overcharge or require various deposits. The overall experience was great, so feel free to go!

I booked my kimono rental for Senso-ji Temple a week in advance, and when I arrived at the shop, it wasn't too crowded, but it wasn't empty either. Each row of kimonos had different styles, and they were all exquisite. There were quite a few staff members, and every one of them was very enthusiastic and polite. The Senso-ji Temple branch is very close to the temple, just a 2-minute walk, which is incredibly convenient. I personally really like this area; it's super lively, and there are plenty of people taking kimono photos.

The kimono shop owner had no problem communicating in Chinese. The store is very spacious, and there's a wide selection of kimonos. The sales assistants don't push sales or guide you to spend more; upgrades are entirely voluntary. To get beautiful photos, my family and I still chose some very lovely kimonos. Right outside the shop, you can see the Senso-ji Temple's Kaminarimon Gate, where many people wear kimonos. I was very lucky to find such a professional photographer; the pictures turned out beautifully. I highly recommend them!

I made a same-day reservation and didn't have to wait in line at all. I went straight in to change, and my hair took about 10 minutes. I highly recommend paying for the styled hair; it was beautiful beyond imagination. The kimonos in the shop can be upgraded to furisode, which are great for photos. When you get to Senso-ji Temple, you'll see many girls wearing furisode. Although it's a bit expensive, it's truly stunning.

The Japanese ladies who helped us put on the kimonos were all very kind and professional! When we arrived, there was also a staff member who spoke Chinese to help us with the introduction. They first asked us to change our shoes and gave us a large bag to put our clothes in. Then, we went to choose kimonos. There were quite a few kimono styles, but it's still recommended to choose an earlier time slot, so that all the nice kimonos don't get rented out.

This was an absolutely fantastic kimono experience! I didn't do any research, just randomly booked a cheap option on Klook, and it turned out to be surprisingly good. The kimonos in the shop were quite new and stylish. Since it was my first time wearing a kimono, I didn't know anything, but the front desk staff patiently helped me choose a sash and other accessories. The Japanese person who helped me put on the kimono was incredibly nice, constantly chatting and laughing with us. From the moment we entered the shop until everything was done, it took less than an hour! I was so happy.

I arrived at the shop at 9 AM the next morning. The shop's location was easy to find, and I had a pleasant experience choosing my kimono, getting dressed, and having my hair styled. Since there were quite a few tourists in the shop, I recommend going early so you can enjoy the experience for the whole day. I'm very satisfied and wish them great success in their business!

It was a very pleasant experience. Its location is close to both the Asakusa Station and Nakamise Street. Upon entering, the staff scanned the QR code for our booking from Klook and made sure that our belongings are safely put into secure bags. The kind and helpful staff there can speak Chinese and a bit of English. The place also had spacious fitting rooms. Depending on the package you picked, there were quite a few Yukata choices with a variety of designs to choose from. The ones we ended up choosing were comfy and the footwear did not hurt our feet when we walk. They can style your hair stylishly as well as gave the few of us with hijabs a choice of floral clips to complete our look. There were many beautiful handbags choose from as well. Conclusively, the process of it all was smooth and their service was truly good value for the quality received.
