What to Expect at Mosaic Art Workshop at Aura Art Studio
Channel the legendary artist and architect Antoni Gaudí during this fun mosaic workshop. Mosaic art is the art of creating images with small pieces of smooth colored stone or glass. From the floors of ancient Pompeii to the walls of the Hong Kong subway, mosaics have been a feature of urban life for thousands of years—and in this workshop, you'll get to try and experience it for yourself. You'll be able to develop your own design, as well as learn how to achieve dimension, blend color, and use power tools to cut the materials. At the end of the workshop, you'll create an amazing original piece of artwork to take back home with you as a souvenir! Ready to harness your inner mosaic artist?
Reviews
Terrible. Instructor didn’t explain anything. Not recommended for those without artistic talent. Boring and tedious. If you have attention deficit disorder, this is not the activity I would recommend. There’s like 4 different classes taking place at the cramped venue at the same time. Pretty distracting. Some of the customers in the shop were rude and even mocked me for my turtle-like pace at assembling the mosaic tiles. Bad etiquette. Instructor was busy overseeing different classes taking place at 4 different tables in the small and suffocating venue. Some were doing calligraphy, some were painting and the party next to me kept irritating me by making fun of my lack of artistic talent, which is not printed in my DNA to begin. I came here for a relaxing and therapeutic time, not to be mocked and patronised. Dirty building. Would rate this -10 stars if I could. Never coming back again.
It turns out that besides the one I picked, there are many other works of art that I can choose very satisfied.
