I've been to Tsui Yuen at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin twice recently for dim sum. The dim sum is usually quite good, so I bought a coupon when I saw a Klook offer. I arrived around 10:30 AM on June 6th, and the staff were very nice. Even though I was early, they quickly seated me. However, the dim sum that day was very disappointing. The fried items weren't hot enough; they seemed like they had been sitting for a while. The skin was dry and soft, not crispy. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) and siu mai (pork dumplings) were even worse. They tasted like frozen, pre-made dim sum bought from a supermarket. The siu mai also had a very strong MSG flavor. I wondered if the dim sum for Klook customers was pre-made. I asked a server, who said the kitchen doesn't differentiate between Klook customers and regular diners. But it was very strange; the dim sum that day didn't taste like what I usually have there. Despite this, the restaurant staff were very polite.
Food is delicious and we can get the table in around 5 mins although there are a lot of people waiting, however, air con is very cold and jacket is needed.
The portion of each dish is just right, making the meal very satisfying. The food quality is very good and the price-performance ratio is high. Although there are many customers, the waiters are still attentive. What I admired most was the waitress, Ms. Ye, who had been welcoming us and giving us tips since we entered the restaurant! Great! The pace at which the dim sum was served was also amazing. The table is not paralyzed by serving dishes continuously; instead, after each dish is finished, the next one is served, so that our two-person table remains spacious from beginning to end, and guests can slowly enjoy each freshly baked dish. Great! I will definitely recommend it to my friends, and I will come back to enjoy this cost-effective dim sum set.
The food at Jade Garden, part of the Maxim's Group, is consistently good. This time, the set meal I purchased offered excellent value for money. For just $128 per person, I enjoyed shrimp dumplings, siu mai, spring rolls, and turnip cake. For the roasted meat, I particularly liked the char siu (barbecue pork) with a good balance of lean and fatty meat, accompanied by jellyfish. The highlight was the almond tea with egg white for dessert. Overall, I was very satisfied and had a fulfilling meal. The service from the waitstaff was also good. Usually, when two people go for dim sum, it's hard to order many different dishes, so this set meal was perfect, and the portion size was just right. Highly recommended! 👍🏻
An unexpected treat on New Year's Eve! Most people choose to eat Western food on this night, but I went to eat Chinese food, and unexpectedly, I was very satisfied with this meal. Whether it's the ambiance, the food, or the price, it all reaches five stars. The environment overlooks the clock tower and the Tsim Sha Tsui harbor while enjoying dinner. The food is fresh, and the portion size and taste are just right. The price is unbelievably cheap 😝. I can hardly believe it 👍. I will definitely encore.
``This is delicious! You really have a knack for cooking.'' - ``I absolutely love this dish; it's full of flavor!''
It turned out much better than I expected, and I really enjoyed the meal. Instead of going to an unfamiliar dim sum restaurant and paying a high price, it's much better to come to Jaden Garden for a set menu that offers great value for money and a happy experience. The manager at Penny Tea was very attentive, which made it even more enjoyable. I'll definitely go again next time. The food quality is excellent for the price, so I'd love to give it many stars.
We enjoyed our meal at Taikoo Shing. The tables seemed a bit cramped, and we arrived early, but we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The dim sum was served quickly and tasted delicious 😋. The dishes were clean. The best part was the all-inclusive set menu price; we just ate and left, which was very convenient! Unlike other places where you pay afterward and the prices are unclear. After eating, we walked along the waterfront, and it happened to be a sailing day, which made the Victoria Harbour view even more beautiful 😊.
Arrived on time today at the Tsui Yuen Restaurant in Kwai Tsing Theatre. Although it was full, there were no shortcomings. The service from all the staff was still very satisfactory. The dim sum listed in the ordered set menu also met expectations and maintained the standard. However, the dishes were a bit slow to come out and had to be urged. If I have the opportunity, I will try the dinner set menu again.
Good value dinner! The food quality is good, the staff is polite, and the seats are comfortable. The only thing is that the serving speed can be adjusted a little bit, because they are too efficient. When we were eating the first dish "Bamboo Fungus and Seafood Stewed Bird's Nest", all the other foods were out (except dessert), so we asked to continue covering the food with plastic lids to keep the temperature so that we can taste them one by one. The restaurant did not serve the dishes according to the diners' eating rhythm. We understand the serving mode of traditional restaurants, so we don't have too high expectations. Of course, we hope that the restaurant can keep up with the times, improve a little, and enhance the service!
