What to expect

Starting the day as early as 4 a.m. (for the Sunrise option), you will be brought directly to Punthuk Setumbu (or translated as Setumbu Hill) for a light hike to reach the viewpoint and wait for the sunrise overlooking the magnificent Borobudur Temple with both Mt. Merapi and Mt. Merbabu in the background. For non-Sunrise, start the day later, heading directly to the temples. There will be local guides at the temples, providing explanations about the temples

It is a great experience visiting the two temples. It was quite hot. Thus, preparing sun block and umbrellas shall be better.

The actual site isn't very large, and it doesn't have the same impressive impact as shown in the photos. Additionally, the ticket price is 900K. Overall, it's not very cost-effective.
