Borobudur Temple (Climb + Guided) Tour in Yogyakarta

The transfer was wonderful; our driver was attentive to all our needs and very kind. The guide at the temple was very pleasant and humorous. Honestly, it's a highly recommended experience for understanding part of the island's historical culture. It's well-preserved, despite being a surviving temple, and the surrounding views are fantastic.

Touring around Borobudur Temple is so organized. You will be given assigned tourguides inside the temple. They have free shuttles that would take you around the vast area. The temple itself still holds the ancient structure that old civilizations built. Our guide already secured our tickets and followed us through each entry point. Truly not to be missed when in Yogyakarta.

We had a great experience on our Borobudur Temple tour. Mr. Afif, our driver, arrived promptly for our pickup and was incredibly professional throughout the trip. Despite heavy traffic caused by a marathon, he skillfully navigated the roads to ensure we arrived on time for our pre-booked tour of the temple. The Borobudur Temple itself was magnificent, and the guide we hired on-site added a lot of value with detailed explanations of the temple’s history and symbolism. It’s worth noting that the guide was not part of the tour package, but it was a great addition to our visit. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include the IDR 150,000 temple entrance fee in the tour package instead of requiring it as a separate expense. This would simplify the booking process and make the overall experience even more seamless. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service, especially with Mr. Afif ensuring a safe and comfortable journey to and from Borobudur. Thank you for a memorable day!

Harry is great guide and driver, he provided us with recommendations of things to do and see in Jogja. We also made a stop at a local restaurant after the tour. We had a great time at Borobudur temple!

So hard to get tickets through the official site so had to buy through Klook. Our driver Dana was great. Friendly, helpful, and spoke English well. The temple is incredible. Definitely a must see.

One of the highlight in Yogyakarta. Our tour guide Mr Nicko very helpful and good driving skill. Bad thing is heavy rain throughout the temple visit. Due to bad weather and heavy rain, only managed to took some pics. 😥

Excellent tour. Communication with our driver was super easy over Whatsapp and he handled getting out tickets as well. Would really recommend getting the extra ticket to visit the top of the temple.

Excellent, very reliable tour company - De Jong Asia Holidays. Guide Wahyu contacted us with pick up time etc the day before. He was on time, friendly and took the initiative to share lots of good informative. Car was new, strong Aircon and Wahyu drove smoothly, he got the tickets and guided us all the way to entrance. Temple guide also excellent. Strongly recommend this tour if you want to visit Borobodur.

Climbing the structure is a must do, as there isn’t much to do on the grounds except take photos from afar. We booked the tour at the last minute at 8pm the day before for a 9am tour and arranged with the operator about 5-6am. We were told the structure access tickets were already sold out online and that the driver will buy at the counter but no promises. As we were already staying in the borobudur area, we reached the counter about 930am and were lucky to get structure tickets for 1030am. We paid extra 1 hour fee to the driver to bring us to the two other temples in the area first (one was being refurbished). Maybe it would be better to book in advance to secure the timing you prefer especially if traveling from the jogja city. Pricey but good and responsive service, recommended!
