Morning tour was great because no line at the security check. Dome climb was worth it even after 320 steps up and doing it again in reverse.
Originally, when booking, the description page provided the possibility of taking the elevator to the dome, skipping the line to quickly clear customs, and admiring the Michelangelo statue, but none of these three options were available when we arrived at the site. Is this the first day of renovation of the statue? No, yet the introductory page says nothing about it. Forget about queuing up to enter when you arrive at the venue. Only queue up at the venue to buy tickets to go up to see the dome. Forget it, because it rained briefly and there were a lot of people queuing up for the elevator. The tour guide bought a self-climbing ticket and hiked up the steps instead. Everyone walked up the 550 steps until they were almost out of breath. As soon as the event ended, the event description page was immediately changed. The copywriting about taking the elevator was removed, which means that this place has always been able to maintain the page. The cathedral itself is free. The incentives for purchasing this trip for quick customs clearance and elevators were not fulfilled, which was very disappointing. The only two stars are for the smoothness of payment on the app and the warm introduction of the tour guide.
