Shi Wai Tao Yuan Ticket

The Shiwai Taoyuan Scenic Area is located about 15 kilometers northwest of Yangshuo County. It's a folk custom scenic park built according to the artistic conception described in Tao Yuanming's "The Peach Blossom Spring," combined with the local idyllic landscape. Although it is a man-made scenic area, the beautiful scenery and the created folk customs are very attractive.

The first half of the tour is usually a boat trip on Yanzi Lake (boat tickets are included in the scenic area ticket). After landing, you can walk around for 1-2 hours. After entering the scenic area, board the boat from Pier 1 and enjoy the scenery along the way, just like the Shiwai Taoyuan described in Tao Yuanming's "The Peach Blossom Spring." Disembark at Pier 2 near the Shuixiang Dong Village on the opposite side, where you can walk around the ethnic buildings, such as the Flower Tower, Drum Tower, Hydrangea Tower, and Totem Poles. There is also a corridor full of ethnic customs, selling some tourist souvenirs. When there are many tourists, the scenic area will stage Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang, and other ethnic song and dance performances with different styles. There are also interactive activities for tourists to participate in, such as throwing hydrangeas to send blessings, ancient papermaking, and carving. Usually, there are no hidden charges.
