Sapporo | Asahiyama Zoo & Furano & Biei & Aoike day tour in Hokkaido

tour was on time. your guide only speaks simple english but it was okay. jusy 2 hrs inside the zoo was not enough but a cute experience with the penguin parade. lake beie was also nice esp we came in at a good day. itinerary was followed as well.

We really enjoyed this tour - everyone was very friendly and helpful. While there is an English translator, the tour guide speaks only Japanese so if you’re looking for thorough explanations this is not the tour for you. However, we were looking for a tour to efficiently take us to the zoo, blue pond, and tomita farm with independent time to explore so this was the perfect tour for us. I looked through many tours and this was one of the few to provide 2.5 hours at the zoo. Really efficient and seamless tour to see many beautiful places in one day! Price was fair given how far all of these locations are from Sapporo - would’ve been much harder and equally/more expensive to get to each place on your own without a car. Highly recommend this tour!

This one day tour was very recommended. Because there are Japanese n foreigner in the bus, they arrange 1 Japanese guide and 1 translator (Mandarin n English). The guide explain the destination clearly. The most interesting destination is the zoo, although it was raining that day, we still be able to enjoy it.

Arrive at the ana hotel lobby and easily find the travel agency staff. There is one Mandarin-speaking staff member on the team, one English+Japanese-speaking staff member, and one vehicle captain. Every time you get off the bus, clearly indicate when you want to get on the bus, and get on time. If you stay at the zoo for a long time, you can have lunch. When the journey is long, there will be rest stops in the middle where you can go to the toilet/snack shop. The bus captain was very friendly and took the initiative to help take photos. Tomita Farm has a small amount of lavender and a small amount of gardens in early June, both of which are beautiful. Disadvantages: We are pressed for time at Tomita Farm, it would be nice if we could stay an extra 30 minutes.

Fun experience in Asahiyama. We were anle to see the walking penguins, polar bears, wolf and other animals. We also visited Shirogane Blue Pond. Itinerary is quite short though since its winter.

if you want to experience all of the zoo and a beautiful light show at night by the Blue Pond, this is a tour worth going. Although our tour guide mostly spoke Japanese, she was able to accommodate us with directions, instructions and the itinerary list through English translation which was easy to follow.

Very worth and packed itinerary 😊 We hit 3 main attractions: Asahiyama Zoo, Blue Pond and Farm Tomita. Time allocated at each attraction was ok, was slightly rushed with lunch at the zoo. Unfortunate that it wasnt flower season at Farm Tomita yet. Otherwise, the view would have been even more beautiful but then we would have needed more time to enjoy the area 🙈 the transport was a great help and the stopover midway through the long journey was good.

For a special group activity, I chose the itinerary with explanations in Chinese, English and Japanese, and it is the one that will stay the longest at the zoo. It is led by a Japanese tour guide and a Chinese-English translator. The boarding of the bus at each attraction will be announced before getting off. The time and stay time for each attraction are planned very accurately, making it a very suitable one-day tour for independent travelers. There will be three alighting stations on the return journey, allowing tourists to choose where to get off, which is really convenient.

Futian Farm is very beautiful. I thought that in early October, there would be no more flower fields to enjoy, but the whole field of flowers and plants surprised me and made me very happy. The zoo also has many cute animals, many rest areas, the scenery of the green pond and the trees in the water. It creates a very peaceful atmosphere and is a worthwhile trip.

There is no tour guide on this trip, but there is no need to worry. There are accompanying staff who will explain the precautions in English and Chinese. In the summer, I went to Asahiyama Zoo, Aoike, and Furano. Aoike was really beautiful. Everyone was punctual throughout the entire trip, which was a great group experience.
