My husband and I had a great stay at the Leonardo Royal hotel in Barcelona.

Rooms were clean and hotel was above my expectations

The hotel itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ends. What is completely unacceptable is the lack of security. Barcelona is known for pickpocketing, but I never imagined that my bag would be stolen inside the hotel's lobby, a place where guests should feel safest. This was not a crowded tourist attraction or a public street; it happened within the hotel, in an area that is constantly supervised by staff and security cameras. In a matter of seconds, I lost everything: my iPhone, credit cards, cash, jewelry, identification, and other personal belongings were all gone. What made this devastating experience even worse was the hotel's response. Rather than treating the situation as the serious security incident that it was, the reception staff showed little urgency or compassion. I was made to feel as though I was somehow responsible for what had happened because I "wasn't watching my bag closely enough." There was no immediate investigation, no meaningful attempt to assist me, no clear security protocol, and no sense that the hotel cared about the trauma I was experiencing. It was handled as if this were just another routine occurrence. This incident completely destroyed my vacation. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent my time canceling credit cards, replacing essential documents, and dealing with the emotional distress of losing everything I cannot recommend staying here if guest security is important to you.

I loved our housekeeping everyday and how quiet the neighborhood was.

Very clean room. Quiet space. Breakfast is amazing. Thank you

Hotel was okay, staff and amenities let it down

Everything went well

I had d a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious, and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet (good bread and coffee are important!). My only suggestions - there needs to be more light in the rooms. Also, I realize it’s a commonality among many hotels in Europe, but the “smooth jazz” covers of pop songs were annoying. (You can’t please everyone though!)

The Leonardo Royal hotel is located close to local neighborhoods with reasonably priced restaurants and a short cab ride to the tourist highlights. We found the staff to be very helpfull.

Very helpful and friendly staff, from the reception, bar, restaurant to room service. The location is out of the city but well connected with public transport and €15 Uber to the city.
