Well situated. Charming decor.

The location I think was THE best ! It was a little difficult to find at first, but once we did the man was very helpful throughout our stay. The room was EXTREMELY clean and immaculate, and spacious. I would definitely stay there again

Hotel was a great location, close to all the activities you’d expect for a tourist destination. Hotel was nice and clean, everything worked well, AC was cold. Our room really did have a window view but it was still ok. Don’t expect a lot of room in these old world hotels, owner said this place was built in the 1300-1400s! But of course it has been updated over the years. No elevator so be aware in case you have difficulties but we were on the first floor. Highly recommend the restaurant right behind the hotel El Vagon Restaurant. Peaceful and great service/food. Owner is Maurizio and he is very accommodating. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We used a private water taxi to and from the airport…very pricey but worth it as it dropped us off right at the hotel and picked us up there too. The convenience of not having to lug 3 bags and backpacks through town as well as up and down stairs was worth every penny 160 euros. As well as the ride was a great way to see Venice coming in. Take plenty of euros because the water taxis are supposed to take credit cards but they will give you an excuse their machine doesn’t work and ask for cash.

Great location, close to amenities. Our room overlooked the canal and was in classic style. Staff friendly and helpful. Aircon, kettle, hairdryer in room.

Great location near realto bridge. Quite rustic / authentic Venician property. Hotel unmanned in the evening but access fine via keypad on door. Would stay again.

My wife and I just spent 4 wonderful days in Venice. This was our first stay at Al Vagon, and it won't be our last. Maurizio the owner, and Adriano his manager, were very helpful, and made us feel very welcomed. Al Vagon's location is perfect. It is right in the middle of almost everything you want to see and do. The room was very comfortable, and was kept extremely clean. We love this place, and so will you. Joel and Jackie Strauss

Highly recommend. Great location right in the middle of everything. Very close to Rialto bridge. Canal view from my window. Better hotel than my 4-star hotel in Rome.
