At check in the girl receptionist was rude. She would ask a question and when asked to repeat herself because you couldn’t understand her. She would speak in a very low tone. And then would give you the dirty look. When asked which way was our rooms. With her eyes she pointed. Ok sorry first time here at Goldengate. Mind you we booked two rooms for two couples. Rooms are super tiny bathroom doors are horrible the way the door is opening in and has to hit the toilet every time you walk in. Beds are full size tiny I had a great view of the Plaza Hotel with the carousel and action at night lol my brothers room horrible view of emergency old wood stairs falling apart old wood door entrance to something it looked like a horrible movie. The casino was nice all staff in the casino super nice. I would not stay again but would visit the casino though.

The rooms are inexpensive, so you get what you pay for. They are small and have no table or desk space for a laptop. No internet access is provided in the room. I could see one wifi option but the connection was too poor to work.

I had a lovely stay at the golden gate. My room overlooked the Fremont Street Experience and I was able to enjoy the Main Street stage concert from the comfort of my room, which was immaculately clean. Very charming property.

It was wonderful—the cleaning, the very friendly and attentive staff, and the great security (from 10 to 10). 👍

There is no pool and the ac unit in the room was horrible. The room had a moldy odor and was humid

Great location right next to Fremont Street. It’s an older original hotel but in great shape and old Vegas charm. I’d stay there again. We got free entry into the Circa stadium swim which is normally $50/person. We had so much fun on Fremont Street too.

Very very noisy rooms with band and singing noises and vibrations coming from a venue on the ground floor. Felt like sleeping on a stage. Self-parking is offsite, although not too far.

It is a very old hotel on Fremont st and it showed by the tiny rooms. Mattress was not great same with the pillows..
