Our stay was reasonable, but unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations for the price of $309 per night. On arrival, there was no TV remote in the room, so we had to call reception to have one brought up. The king bed was actually two single beds pushed together, and the ridge down the middle made it quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The pillows were very flat, and the bedding was light, with no extra blanket provided, making the room feel cold overnight. We were also unable to open the Venetian blinds because the control rod had come loose and was positioned too high to reach or reattach. While the staff were helpful when contacted, the overall condition and comfort of the room were disappointing given the nightly rate. A few maintenance issues and better quality bedding would make a significant difference.

Great balcony view, perfect amenities for the winter (heated bathroom floors and heated blanket in the bed were personal favourites), fire place was cosy, had everything you would need, good location, nice staff.

The only thing I didn't like about it, it's next to a main room. Everything else are good.

Great views...it's right on Frankton road but the bedroom is at back so you don't hear the traffic..so nice to have the gas fire and watch sunset over the Remarkables..

Spur of the moment booking. Absolutely made the best choice! Location is a short and fairly easy walk to town. Slight hill but nothing too major. Check in was amazing, we were so well looked after by the lovely lady at reception, top notch service. Room was huge! Had every heating amenity you could think of! Beautiful view from the room. They have a spa that overlooks the lake and Remarkables that you can book at the front desk, ask for extra towels. Only slight downsides, sink in bathroom took ages to drain, shower head and pressure just okay. King bed was two singles pushed together so not the most comfortable bed but wasn’t unbearable. Parking was only $10 a night and you can pay by hour for extra time in the room up until midday. Would definitely stay here again, would probably just get 2 singles or a room with 2 beds.

Okay for the price

Staff were very lovely. Check-in was easy with easy bag drop both before and after check-in/check out. Lots of details that made us question the rating of the property, but also would have been totally reasonable for a 3-star property. Everything was totally fine and nothing really to write home about but we definitely questioned the 5-star rating we had seen daily. I wouldn't *not* recommend this hotel. If it's in your price range, it's totally ok, but absolutely buyer beware- you are getting what you pay for.

We loved our stay, location was excellent and double glazing was great and stopped traffic noise from the main road. All staff were very friendly and assisted us with our luggage on the steps. Air conditioning and gas fireplace was lovely. Full kitchen with dishwasher was great for our meals and house keeping staff always supplied necessary top ups for essentials which was appreciated. Excellent TV and Three Now app with similar TV shows in Australia. Washing Machine and Dryer shared by 2 units again with washing powder supplied. Our only suggestions for improvement would be better mattresses although I realise this can be a matter of opinion and no parking charges. We would gladly come back again in the future and really enjoyed our 9 days here.
