My friends and I stayed for the night and we were really impressed with the hotel, the reception staff were helpful. We had a drink at the bar, the staff were slow and had to repeat our order, few times

Overall excellent but we specifically booked the hotel as it advertised an off site car park which we were told was closed by the time we arrived. A bit disappointed that the staff weren’t able to help with some ideas where we could park. Everything else great - really smart, clean and quiet hotel.

I choose this hotel every year because of the lock view rooms and proximity to everything that makes Camden so special. Sadly this is the second time I have been in the last 26 months and the refurbishment / building works are still being done which is so noisy. I will certainly be back again but will double check that the works are completed before I stay. The reception staff are lovely allowing a early check in and late check out and happy to store bags.

Very clean, excellent breakfast. Good for families with older kids.

The hotel was really convenient to Camden market and the tube. Our room was clean, spacious and deliciously cool. Very comfortable during this heat wave. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and polite.

A great hotel, in a great location. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained, and breakfast was delicious.

First, the pluses: Holiday Inn Camden Lock was clean (maybe TOO clean -- see below), the location is great (a three-minute walk to Tube), the bed was very comfortable, and the AC excellent. But there was one HUGE minus: On our third day there, the housekeeping staff left our door open after cleaning. I don't mean "unlocked." I mean, "open," as in the latch set so that anyone could see the door was open and walk on in. When I complained to the front desk, their reaction was lukewarm, "We'll speak to housekeeping." So, the next day, we absolutely DID NOT want housekeeping back in our room, so we left the "DON'T CLEAN" sign on our door. Imagine our shock when we returned AND IT HAD BEEN CLEANED. (Hey, at least the door wasn't open.) I again complained to the front desk, and again got a lukewarm response. So, the next day, I AGAIN left the "DON'T CLEAN" sign on the door, and this time took a photo of it, just to prove I'd done so. Guess what? THEY CAME IN AND CLEANED AGAIN. OMG. So, I again complained, explaining that everything my daughter owned was in that room (she was moving home after two years of living in London), and after the open-door experience, we DID NOT WANT HOUSEKEEPING IN THE ROOM. After that, housekeeping stayed OUT. AT NO TIME did the front desk offer us a discount or other amenity to make up for a) LEAVING OUR DOOR OPEN or b) ignoring our instructions. It's the only time in my life I haven't left a tip for housekeeping. And we won't stay there again.
